PRAISE THE LORD

Prison Mission Report

Dear Brothers and Sister in ChristDog

"Men and women have hardly begun to understand the true object of life. They are attracted by glitter and show. They are ambitious for worldly pre-eminence. To this the true aims of life are sacrificed. Life’s best things--simplicity, honesty, truthfulness, purity, integrity--cannot be bought or sold. They are as free to the ignorant as to the educated, to the humble laborer as to the honored statesman. For everyone God has provided pleasure that may be enjoyed by rich and poor alike--the pleasure found in cultivating pureness of thought and unselfishness of action, the pleasure that comes from speaking sympathizing words and doing kindly deeds. From those who perform such service the light of Christ shines to brighten lives darkened by many shadows.

"While helping the poor in temporal things, keep always in view their spiritual needs. Let your own life testify to the Saviour’s keeping power. Let your character reveal the high standard to which all may attain. Teach the gospel in simple object lessons. Let everything with which you have to do be a lesson in character building." {MH 198-9}

Dear Ron,

Enclosed is a small donation for your prison ministry. We would like to receive updates on any new materials you may have available for prisoners. May the Lord bless you and your ministry. It is so needed.

Ray, TX

Brother Ron,

As I go through the book to reread volume one again, it’s like reading a whole new book. Brother Ron, I’m not only a hearer of the word, but I’m slowly becoming a doer of the word and I have your book to thank for that and also you because volume one has helped me overcome my doubt in Christ and accept His plan for me. All I’ve learned from your book has helped me.

Alexander, IL

Ronald John,

I am writing to request a workbook. I am in very much need to know my Lord Jesus Christ who I want to serve truly and faithfully. I am doing 62 years to life for two non-violent crimes under the 3rd Strike Law. I know somehow Jesus is working to bring joy to my life. I just know He is calling me and I need all the tools I can get to remain strong. I am and will forever be a soldier for Christ, so I can use all the Christian training I can get. I am sending you 10 stamps. I don’t have very much, but I cna brake myself for God. Please send me the Lord’s workbook. I am already getting excited about learning more about the truth of my Lord no matter the cost.

Steven, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

I hope all is well. I am finally now coming to fully understand Christ and the simple gospel of salvation. I backslid and found myself back in prison. But its all right. This the the last time. The reason I’m writing is for your "Change Your Life Biblically" book. I am totally indigent but would really like a book to help some these other brothers.

Jerry, CA

Dear JCPM,

First and foremost, God bless you guys down there. It’s been a minute since I last wrote but I’m writing to let you know that your book is incredible and extraordinary original of the true teachings of our Saviour and Heavenly Father. Thank you for this book. It stired up in me the Holy Spirit every time I opened up your book. We do have the power to overcome temptation and sin. Thank you Jesus. I think every inmate should be able to read this book. I’m sending some stamped envelopes and please use them however you may.

Situe, CA

Dear Brother Ronald,

Thank you for taking the time to write back and sending me the answer sheets so I can try again. I have done a lot of reading and there are some questions that I can’t find the answers to. I read and re-read the book and even though I understand His teachings, there’s way too much knowledge in this booklet and I tend to get a bit lost when it comes to finding the correct or proper answer to some of the questions. I do however appreciate this book’s teaching about Christ. It has really changed the way I felt about reading the Bible. There are lots of things in the Bible that you can read, but once you study, "Change Your Life Biblically" you come to a different understanding about God’s Word. Everything in your book is directed to the Spirit of God.

Alex, FL

Dear Ronald,

I just wanted you to know that I received my copy of the book, "Change Your Life Biblically". Thank you for sending it.

Sephanie, LA

Dear Ron,

I’ve been doing the study and I can say that it blows my brains out to see a lot of the study I didn’t know. I’m slow and I don’t comprehend but if I take my time I can learn a lot of new things from the Bible and your study. I thank you and most of all I thank God for putting you in my life to see that there is one and only true right way to serve and one true Christian and I see how to serve God and do it with joy or unto death.

Hillman, CA

JCPM,

I am a 46 year old man in and out of prison ever since I was 18 years old. I have been out probabily a total of 8 or 9 years. I realize that I need help so I asked God to come into my life and take it over. I know God is a mighty man and through the words of Him I know I can become a better person. So I’m asking you if you can send me the workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I got a really good feeling. I believe it in my heart that this workbook will change my life. I want to change it and I know through the work of God I can do it.

Jose, IN

Dear Christian Brothers,

Enclosed is $25 for one book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I cannot send $25 each month, but I can send money every now and then. I am a believer in God and Jesus Christ. But I’m still a sinner. Please pray for me.

Jeffrey, CA (Non-inmate)

Dear Sir,

I praise our Father that you walk with Jesus. I am still reading your book. Third time now. I can’t put your book down. I found a second copy and gave to a friend and asked him to read it. I pray that you are well.

Robert, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

I have received the same small book that you have sent me and my other brothers in CHrist. THank you very much. And the dother book, "Change Your Life Biblically" study book is wonderful. Very interesting. I really appriciate it. The lifestyle in this place is a great experience for Christian life because we are dealing with peoople who are suffering lots of depression, stress and want to give up on life. The persons who I try to share the Word of God with are hard to talk to or get their attention because they are focused on other things. Not only that some attack with bad words, anger and want to resist the Word of God. So dealing with all these different things plus to love them the way they are you need to have God and the Holy Spirit on your side and be patient because to walk a Christian walk in a place like this is a great experience.

Asfaw, TX

Dear Brothers in Christ,

Thank you so much for my workbook. The light is starting to shine for me and I see where I need to be obedient to God’s Word. Your workbook is like a searchlight that guides you in from the storms of the world. This book is so informative it actually helps me to walk the trail where I was blind to it before. Yes, I would like to take part of this prison ministry. Just tell me how?

Jose, CA

Dear Ronald John,

About the study, I tried my best and hope I did good. I hope that I can help someone else to do your study and wish that people see what I saw and to open their eyes as well. I’m going to keep your study always and read it all the time whenever I can. I hope that when the time comes that Jesus would say, "Well done my faithful and good son, you may enter." I know I have sin in my life and I have to change my life and it’s hard. But I have to do it if I want to live forever with Jesus. I will be writing you and letting you know about my walk.

Hillman, CA

Dear Ronald John,

I am a former inmate in a Texas prison where I read your "Change Your Life Biblically" book. And it changed my life. In ten more days I end my parole and can vote again. You asked for $5,000 to print Spanish editions of your book for Latinos in prison. Enclosed is my check for $50. So, if ninety-nine other supporters also send $50 each, you will have the money you need. I wish I could help more, but I only have Social Security income.

Joe, TX (Parolee no longer)

Brother Ron,

I learned that God’s Word can be trusted. To be a Christian, I must walk as Jesus walked and live the obedient life He lived. Jesus tells us to teach only what He has commanded us. We have no authority to add to or subtract from the teaching of Christ. He gave us the Ten Commandments to teach us how to love each other and Himself. I must keep the seventh day holy. With Jesus’ help I turn and walk away from temptations. I replaced my sinful habits with good habits. I put into practice what I have learned in this book.

Ivan, VA

Mr. Ronald John,

I am writing you this letter to show my appreciation for what you do. Most people wouldn’t consider doing anything for a prisoner. So thank you for your time and dedication. God bless you. Here are some postage stamps to help with your cause. I will send more when I have access to cash.

Robert, CA

Hi Ron,

Always glad to receive your encouraging letters. I received a letter from your son Jeff also. It was nice of you to say that about prayer. How powerful it is. It’s very reassuring. The Lord has answered many prayers and I get indications of Him working in my life very often. At times it’s good to have that encouragement from someone else. Sometimes (even though I know the Lord is working things out) I get kind of down (impatient I should say). I have to remind myself I’m in here for a very serious offence, even though I’d like to be out with my family and steer them in the right direction. But the Lord knows the circumstances. He knows my heart and what led up to what I did and why. Now I realize what I should have done. It obviously did bring me to the truth. I have grown to have such a good understanding of God’s Word. It makes me sick when I see all these preachers talk about how the law has been removed. That we no longer have to keep the law. It is very plain to me from James 2:12 and Romans 2:12 that we will be judged by the law. You would think that when people read versus like that they would want to research it. But I guess Satan’s inspiration is to powerful for some people. What’s sad is how so many people just believe what those preachers say. Most people believe that if a person has a seminary certificate or a "Dr." label, it makes them knowledgeable about God’s ways. I’m just another inmate, how can I know what’s right? I just bite my tongue and remain diligent in the truth. I have to remind myself of what Paul said in Philippines 2:12, "Work out your own salvation".

Peter, IL

Dear Brother John,

Well, it has taken awhile but I’ve finally read through the book for the fifth time and am just now beginning to do the answer pages. Boy, even after reading it five times, I’ve already found myself having to go back and search for answers as I want to cling to old teachings for some reason. Although I still have some confusion over a couple of your teachings, I’m endeavoring to keep an open mind, praying and asking for the truth to be shown me. I’m not implying you are wrong, just that I’m not quite convinced in my mind about a couple of things. But I will answer according to what is written in your book and let the Lord lead me through the Holy Spirit to whether it’s wrong or right. But I do feel that 99.9% of what is in the book to be truth and I find myself wanting to re-read it again. It has impressed me so strongly. I do want to thank you for allowing me to study this book as it has opened my eyes to a lot I had never noticed before and/or overlooked. It is definitely an inspiration and I highly recommend it to everyone that wants to know what the Bible really teaches. Again, I thank you and hopefully in the next couple of weeks I’ll have all the questions answered and in the mail.

David, FL

Dear Brother Ronald John,

Before I get started, I would like to say that I hope God is blessing you and your ministry. Yes, I would like to do it again and I put in my life Christ by Keeping His Commandment. I try to love others. I try to tell the truth and share what I learned in your book. My celly is happy to get started. I’d shown him the book and read a little. Now he wants his own to learn. So I try my best to help people see the true light and to come to Christ.

Hillman, CA

To Whom This May Concern,

I’m writing to request your workbook about changing your life biblically. I do not have any outside support as far as money goes. If it is still a possibility to receive the aforementioned, it would be highly appreciated. I came across your info from a friend whom I’d asked to help me with obtaining a Bible course.

David, CA

Dear Sir,

I received your letter the other day. They brought enjoyment to my heart. I did not order your book. I have a copy of it in my locker and a friend has another copy,. We enjoy reading your words. We use our Bibles to check on what you have written. The copies of your book we found in our Bible box (a box for old Bibles). I have read your book 3 to 4 times now and felt that I could write to you. So far I have found that you are true in your book. I want to thank you for writing to me.

Robert, CA

Ronald John,

I am in prison. My celly shared with me "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. I enjoy it and would like to receive my own workbook that I could work through. I would really like to receive this workbook. If it is possible, can you send me a copy?

Richard, CA

Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you from prison. My bunkie showed me your book and gave me your pamphlet to fill out and send to your. I am very interested in your book and really want to get into the Word. I, unfortunately, don’t have any funds to pay for your book. I would like to know if it is still possible for you to send it to me. I would really appreciate it very much.

Aaron, CA

Hi,

I learned that Jesus Christ came to teach an old gospel, not a new one. I learned that keeping the Ten Commandments includes keeping the 4th Commandment (Sabbath). That I have an obligation to live the perfect, righteous, holy and sinless life of Christ. To work out my salvation with fear and trembling. I am on death row. When I got here there were more than 20 people. Now it’s only 15 people. We are all separated here. I am in a cell by myself. Our doors to our cells are solid, no bars. We go outside only 5 times a week for only one hour a day. When we are outside, we are all separated. This is the only time that I have to talk to them about Jesus Christ. It’s only the same inmates that come outside. So these are all the people that I see. When I was on the outside, I did not have this much time to study the Bible and pray. Here I have so much time. So I read the Bible and think about what I have read. I pray for other inmates and your prison ministry and my family and much more. I do appreciate your time and the work you do.

Ivan, VA

Dear Brother Ron & Jeff,

I need more courage to approach inmates. I walk past cells a lot where men are always just sitting their just watching TV all the time. They only leave to eat. I don’t like intruding on another man’s space. Plus I’m naturally timid anyway. So I just walk by trying to figure out how to approach the unapproachable. So I just quietly mind my own business and ask the Lord for help in trying to keep His Ten Commandments. I want to do it right brothers. I’m done with bad things. I hate bad things. Sadly, I haven’t heard anything from the chaplain’s office about your DVD. I have been praying hard it is found so I may view it. (I sent our "Bible Basics 1-4" DVD in to the chaplain for the men to see. As you can see, truth is not wanted.) I’ve been going over to the chapel to pass out your newsletters and pamphlets. Many men have picked them up. Not sure if you have gotten any responses. I’m able now to talk to the guy who works up in the lock-up units. That is where all the really "tough" guys or mental patients go. He passes out stuff up there for me too.

Preston, IN

Dear Ron,

Hi. I thought I’d write you and tell you more about myself. I have been in prison since 2001. I have a 48 year term for murder. I grew up attending the Covina Assembly of God. All through out my life I thought I was a Christian. It was not until I read your book and a few others that I found out the truth about Christianity and that I was only being fooled. Now i am 49 and not eligible for parole until 2025. I feel lonely, ashamed, broken hearted, and many other not so good feelings. I think I feel just like what I am. And that is a man that can see all the errors of his ways, that knows the truth but can do nothing about it. I don’t feel forgiven. I don’t feel like I know Jesus. I feel doomed to a life of torment and suffering. I cry almost every day. My anguish over my acts of evil weigh so heavy on my heart that I have repeatedly attempted suicide. I am a failure at killing myself too. It seems I have only accomplished one thing in life and that is learning the truth about what life was really supposed to be. I don’t want to experience the second death, but I feel stuck on the path and my destruction is inevitable. Ron, what am I doing wrong? Will Jesus not forgive me no matter what I do? I first read your book in late 2001 while I was waiting to come to Colorado. Your book sounds to real and to good to be false. I have never read a more accurate or more presice book in my life. I thought when I first read your book 7 1/2 years ago that God was answering my prayers and I was going to overcome my evil tendencies. But it is now 2009 and I still hurt and ache over my separation from God’s essence. Please Tell God or anybody from His realm that I need them more than I need oxygen. Tell God I’ll do anything. I just need to know what it is. I’m sorry to lay my emotions on you. I’m just so desperate. Please help me if you can.

James, CO

(Folks, humanity is bound down by sin. Sin is terrible. We must understand, there is something we can do. So many read the book, "Change Your Life Biblically" but because of their past brainwashing they can’t see the Light. Over and over and over again the book tries to let them know - Jesus died for our sins. You can’t do anything about your past except to give it to Jesus. That is what Justification is all about. Once that is done, you are "born again" and leave your past alone. Now stand up and "work out your salvation with fear and trembling." You can’t do anything about the PAST. But to get to heaven, we must now walk in the new life. We must be obedient to Jesus and His Ten Commandments. Don’t let "feelings" get in the way. KNOW for a fact that what God says, He will do. He paid for our past sins, accept that and now take the new life and live it: perfectly, holy and righteously. So awesome! That is Sanctification.)

Dear Brother Ron,

Could you please send a "Change Your Life Biblically" book to my mom and any other stuff that will help her? She just accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. Here is her address. I’d really appreciate it. Why is it so hard to get people to see that living in a life of sin is wrong? I’ve tried to speak to so many dudes in here about Jesus and about changing their lives, but they don’t ever listen. They say they believe in God, but they say they don’t believe in something they can’t see. That don’t make any sense. We can’t see the wind or atoms, but we know they are there. Same with God. It’s so sad how blind people are. A lot of them do it on purpose. They don’t want to believe or change.

Anthony, NV

Dear Ron,

A friend of mine showed me your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I believe in what it says. I would very much like to have one. But I am indigent. If you could possibly send me the book, I would make great use of it.

Joshua, CA

Hello,

I recently came across a copy of "Changer Your Life Biblically" and am trying to do just that. I would like to request that you could send me a copy of my own to study and share with others.

Amber, UT

Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I just found out of your book and biblical studies and I would highly appreciate if I could receive your free volume of "Change Your Life Biblically" to learn more about my life to Jesus Christ.

Christian, CA

 To Whom Concern,

I’m writing along with another inmate for your workbook. I would like to have more knowledge of the Bible and a structure on how to study.

Vanzant, CA

Brother Ron,

I just got here at this institution last week. Thank you so very much for the book. I really appreciate it. Thank you! Let me say, it’s pretty difficult, but nothing in life comes easy. I enjoy reading it. It keeps me busy. Since I’ve first started reading it, I look at things way different than the way I’ve looked at life before. I’m taking my time reading it though because I want to learn as much as possible. Thank you again for sending me another book. The one that you sent be last year, I told you already what happened to it.

Perry, CA

Dear Ronald John,

After viewing my new cellie’s workbook, I’m very interested in studying my own. I’m currently broke with no stamps or money so I am asking you to help me out any way.

Ed, CA

"Those who work for the fallen will be disappointed in many who give promise of reform. Many will make but a superficial change in their habits and practices. They are moved by impulse, and for a time may seem to have reformed; but there is no real change of heart. They cherish the same self-love, have the same hungering for foolish pleasures, the same desire for self-indulgence. They have not a knowledge of the work of character building, and they cannot be relied upon as men of principle. They have debased their mental and spiritual powers by the gratification of appetite and passion, and this makes them weak. They are fickle and changeable. Their impulses tend toward sensuality. These persons are often a source of danger to others. Being looked upon as reformed men and women, they are trusted with responsibilities and are placed where their influence corrupts the innocent.

"Even those who are sincerely seeking to reform are not beyond the danger of falling. They need to be treated with great wisdom as well as tenderness. The disposition to flatter and exalt those who have been rescued from the lowest depths sometimes proves their ruin. The practice of inviting men and women to relate in public the experience of their life of sin is full of danger to both speaker and hearers. To dwell upon scenes of evil is corrupting to mind and soul. And the prominence given to the rescued ones is harmful to them. Many are led to feel that their sinful life has given them a certain distinction. A love of notoriety and a spirit of self-trust are encouraged that prove fatal to the soul. Only in distrust of self and dependence on the mercy of Christ can they stand." {MH 177-8}

Dear Prison Ministry,

I would like to receive your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I’m a student in God’s Word and am trying to feed my spirit man as much as I can so that I can carry out God’s will and purpose for my life. A friend gave me your brochure so I thought I would write.

Duane, CA

I want to thank each of you who are giving so generously in these hard economic times. I know it is a sacrifice to support this little ministry. But remember, as you do to the least of these, you do unto Jesus.

God bless you,

Ron

The Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalm 84:11
