Prison Mission Report!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

It is truly a blessing to bring to you the stories and letters of inmates who are changing their lives through this very little ministry. Through the book, "Change Your Life Biblically", the newsletters, direct mailings, web pages and chat rooms, we have been able to reach thousands of people with the gospel that Jesus taught.

Jesus told us in Matthew 28:20 to go and teach everything that He has commanded us. And that is the whole point of this ministry. We do not add or subtract to any of the Lord’s teachings. We simply put forth the teachings, straight up, as Jesus taught them. That is our only duty.

We want to thank all those who have been so faithful in supporting this little ministry. So many look at us and shake their heads wondering how an old man, a man and a youngster without any income and nothing of their own, can be so effective for the Lord. Well, I also shake my head and marvel at the power and glory of God.

The three of us are society’s "outcasts". We have all been to prison. We have all had maggots in our past that would like to devour us. But God called us out of the world to show the world the might of His power in changing lives. It is through His power manifested through us that others are gaining faith, assurance and hope in their lives. If we can do it through His mighty power, then they realize that they can do it through that same mighty power.

The other day we met a young man still in High School. We asked him to take a look at our web pages and to tell us what he thought. Here is how he started out his e-mail to us, "Hello, Your website is pretty strong..." We pray more will find the strength of God’s power through all the media that we are working on.

By the way, we are still looking for someone to send us $25,000 so we can have the Spanish books printed. Millions of Spanish speaking people are waiting for the book to be printed in Spanish. Will you please provide a special thank offering so we can print the books? Thank you folks.

Mr. John,

I received several applications with my workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically" and also a few more along with a letter asking if I had received my workbook yet. Well, yes I have and I too think the workbook is awesome. I spend between 2-3 hours reading. My workbook from you reinforces as well as simplifies all the other reading. I realize from studying in the workbook that I am not only learning the Bible and sharing an intimate relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but it is also a manual to teach me how to live. Being a 6 termer and a 32 year heroin and cocaine addict, God has been trying to save me and I have finally surrendered to Him. I am so thankful there are people like you that can be a vessel for God to help others like me. I have enclosed some applications of two ladies that live in my unit.

Vanessa, CA

Dear JCPM,

I’m an inmate and I want to change my life biblically. Can you please send me your Bible study book? Thank you and God bless you.

Jesse, CA

Hi,

My name is Soriya Seng. I really like your books. Please send me an extra copy of "Change your life Biblically" so I can give it away to any one who wants to know about God’s truths. I suggest that you should expand your ministry and reach out to people who are not in Prison, because it works for me. I had learned many new and important things in your book!

I’m a 23 year old college student and I picked up your book at a used bookstore while on Winter Break. While at the bookstore I Prayed to God that God will help me find books by Adventist authors. And He did! And I’m very happy and thankful that God helped me find this book. This book is a great study tool!

Soriya, CA

Dear Mr. John,

I received your letter and was very glad to hear from you. I am writing to you because I really would like to receive your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I have been locked down for the past two years, being in confinement because I keep getting beat up. I have been out of confinement three times during the past two years. One was for three days and the other two times were for four days each. I have no family or friends on the street who can send any stamps or money or anything. Because I am not working while I am in prison, I am not earning any money either. So I am totally indigent. However, I would like to receive your book and any and all studies that you may have. I definitely felt a pull to my spirit when I saw your book titled, "Change Your Life Biblically", and that it was a Bible study book. I felt the Lord telling me to request this book from you and to ask to participate in any and all Bible studies that you may have. If there is any way possible for me to get this book and any other Bible study that you may have, I would be greatly appreciative.

Allen, AZ

Dear Brother Ronald,

I’ve been in prison for three years now and was looking forward to going home. You have helped me understand and learn things I never knew. And I’m grateful for your continued support and the role that you play. I have no doubt that lives have been changed through this ministry ‘cause one of those lives is mine. Now that I know the truth, there is no excuse. I know I can do all through Christ who strengthens me to fight all the temptations of the enemy. I am glad to hear that you received my tithes and offerings.

Luis, AZ

JCPM,

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to send us a few more applications so that I can give them to my friends. That would be great.

Christi, TX

Brother Ronald John,

I received your letter about the Bible study. I wanted to write and tell you I would really like to do your Bible study. I am hungry to learn all I can about the Lord. But I am in fact indigent. I do not have anyone outside this place who helps me. I would like to be able to ask another inmate to help, but that is against the rules. I would get a misconduct.

Helena, OK

JCPM,

I dropped out of the Northern Hispanic Gang. It’s funny how it took me 2 prison terms and a violation to see something wrong. That still wasn’t enough. I just got into a riot and then received a letter from my son asking "Daddy when are you coming home?" I caught extra time and I’m doing a SHU term. I asked myself how in the world am I gonna tell my son that I’m not coming home when I was supposed to? Dropping out was one of the hardest things I’ve done. It seems to me that every time I come to jail or prison I pick up the Bible as if I’m on a mission, asking the Lord for His blessing with a lighter sentence. He comes through every time, then I drop Him like a dime! I desperately want your help to better understand the Lord, to feel His love, to surrender myself to Him. Can your prison ministry guide me and teach me how to be faithful in my religion? Help me so I can help myself. I just turned 29 on December 26. Another birthday in the system.

Jeffrey, CA

Dear Ron, Juan and son,

Since all I received was a picture and a note concerning your son, I didn’t know his name. But greetings nonetheless. I thank you as always for taking your time to respond to my letters. I am in receipt of the December issue of the newsletter also. Thank you. The Bible study group here continues to move along. We all try to continually walk in His favor and seek Him with all of our heart. There are so many people here who are broken, scared, misguided and searching for something. As I read your newsletter every month, I am always totally astounded at the number of brothers and sisters who literally have no one in this world to depend on but themselves. I’m sure that one would hear numerous reasons as to why family and friends are apt to abandon one of their own. And maybe there is some justification. However, to live as Christians, to claim identity with Christ, to walk down the aisle and respond that you have claimed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and then discard another human is simply not acceptable. Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself." I do not see this as an option or a choice on our part.

Mike, GA

Dear JCPM,

I got your address from a friend of mine who is doing your Bible study. I am interested in doing it so that I may grow and grow in the knowledge of the Word of God.

Miguel, UT

To Whom It May Concern,

A friend showed me your book, "Change Your Life Biblically" and I enjoyed looking through it. I was wondering if you could send me a copy? I would truly enjoy reading it. Thank you.

Tracy, NV

To Whom It May Concern,

Can you please provide me with a copy of "Change Your Life Biblically? Thank you and God bless you for the work you are doing. You were referred to me by my cellie. I want to further my knowledge in the Word to fuel my desire to also be a part of prison ministry’s.

Mike, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

I guess I’m gonna have to work a lil’ harder to win souls over so Jesus can come even faster. :-) As far as my spiritual walk is going, oh, let’s just put it this way: fantastic, blessed. God’s been really good to me and I feel so blessed. He has shown me two, or worked for me, two miracles that increased my faith a lot. I’m just so thankful. I finally found a Korean SDA church that is helping me translate part of your book and send some Korean materials to my parents who are not Sabbath keepers. Please pray for my parents that they may be open minded and their eyes may be opened to the truth.

Timmy, CA

We asked Timmy if he would contact the Korean church and see if they would send the copied, translated material of our book to us so we can put it up on the web site. God bless those who are constantly looking for ways to help us get the truth out. Love to all of you.

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

Hello, my name is Beronica. I am here in prison. Would you please send me the book and other things to help me grow in the Word.

Beronica, UT

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

Please send me your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". My name is Yolanda and my friend showed me her workbook and I fell in love with it. I love Jesus and want to learn more about Him. I don’t have stamps or money.

Yolanda, CA

To Whom It May Concern,

I’m writing to send off the order form for the workbook you offer and to ask if you could send me any other books, pamphlets or any information you could offer me to help with my Christian walk. I just started studying the Bible and have been really learning a lot about Jesus and all the people the Bible speaks about. I have accepted the Lord into my life already and want to learn as much as I possibly can. I hope to hear back from you soon and I look forward to receiving the workbook.

Kristopher, ID

Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

Wow! What a book! I received my copy of "Change Your Life Biblically" and let me tell you. I have read it from front to back four times now and I am impressed with your insight on the scriptures of the Bible. The book is packed with exciting information on all kinds of different subjects. If I may be so bold as to quote one of my favorite authors: "As Jesus has revealed to us the true character of the Father, so we are to reveal Christ to a world that does not know Him." E.G.W. I count myself fortunate to be able to capitalize on other people’s hard work of Bible study. Keep up the good works.

Mitchel, UT

To Whom it may Concern,

My cellmate has shown me a copy of "Change Your Life Biblically" and I was wondering if you could send me a copy. I never realized how paganism has infiltrated our religion and was completely in shock once my cellmate showed me. What you are doing is a great thing for exposing the Vatican for what they are really doing and trying to open the world’s eyes. God bless you . Please send me a copy so I may show my friends and family and lead them to the right path.

Donnell, CA

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your response to my request to be involved in your studies. Unfortunately at this time I am totally indigent. Enclosed is what I could gather and hopefully I’ll find more. Please, still try to include me because I do believe it would benefit me a lot. Hopefully and prayerfully I’ll be added to your mailing list.

Matthew, CA

To Whom It may Concern,

I received this pamphlet from an inmate. He has been passing it on to all inmates in here. He is out of them and would like to receive more. Please send me any books or information that you may have.

Tony, ID

This letter came in from a chaplain who works at a prison:

"Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ;

My name is Sandy and I am a Chaplain at the Correctional Center for Women. I recently came across your book mentioned above and I would like to ask if there is any way that your ministry could send us more of this book for use here with the ladies. It would be a great blessing to all of us here for the women are hungry for the Word of God and any study helps that will strengthen them on this journey with Christ. I do not know your policy concerning book distribution, but if we could receive a surplus shipment of 200 - 250 of these books, we would be so appreciative.

Sandy,

Chaplain

Dear Brother in Christ,

I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I received your pamphlet from another brother in Christ and he shared the, "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook with me and I am very excited and eager to receive my own. I know through faith in Jesus that this workbook will indeed help me to grow stronger in the Lord and help me further my walk with Christ.

Johnny, FL

Dear JCPM,

I’ve just recently read through a copy of your "Change Your Life Biblically" book through another inmate and am very interested in starting your study course. The Three Angels’ message are of great importance to me, especially at this day and age. I like the in depth study and great detail that is involved.

Jose, FL

Dear Mr. John:

I am writing you in regard to a letter I received a while back. I am writing you hoping to obtain an information package on what you offer. I would like to participate in the free Bible to inmate program. Also, send me if you can as much information about your program so I can give some of this information to my church members. We all would like to be a part of your JCPM ministry.

Gerardo, MS

Dear JCPM,

My name is Alcides. I’m requesting your free "Change Your Life Biblically" book. I’m not a Christian but my friend has your book which I looked at and I know that it will help me to seek God.

Alcides, FL

Dear JCPM,

Here is that money for the workbook. Thank you so much for helping me grow closer to God. I hope God will keep blessing you by letting you keep reaching out to people and bringing them closer to God. Just keep on encouraging people and pray for me.

David, IN

Folks, I want to thank you for all your support and faithfulness in helping this little ministry. Because of your continued support we were able to build a little shed and turn it into a work room. We were able to empty out two rooms in the trailer and put all our work area into the shed. That sure makes it easier.

Then we were able to take our beds out of the living room and put them into the two rooms. Now Juan has a bedroom and I have a bedroom. Of course, please understand that these "bedrooms" are about 7’x 8’. But we thank God for the extra space.

We were able to actually get a desk for Juan now and put it up in the living room with mine. But we have more room to work and accomplish our mission for Jesus. Thank you.

With your continued support, we plan to have all our bills paid off by March. Then we must put funds aside for the printing of the Spanish book. As many of you know, it will take about $25,000 to have the Spanish books printed. Juan is three quarters through the book in translating it. How wonderful. Thousands of Spanish inmates are looking forward to the book being printed. Please pray with us that God will touch hearts to provide the funding for the printing of the Spanish edition. God bless you all for your love and support of this little ministry.

Dear Brother Ronald,

I extend my regards and warm embraces in Christ in hopes all is well with you and everyone else involved in Jesus Christ Prison Ministry. I want to thank you sincerely for I just received the Bible you sent and it is really beautiful. Thanks be to God. I have never owned a new Bible nor was I ever interested in owning one. But this one is really special. I will keep it with me for all my days, God willing. Thank you and as soon as I receive some stamps, I will return the postage so you can send another brother a Bible.

Rudy, CA

Folks, just so you understand our program, we will send a Bible to all inmates who have completed our Bible study course, received a certificate and requested a Bible. What we have found is that after an inmate has received his certificate, they are truly honest and will let us know if they truly need a Bible. Very few have asked since most have a Bible. But those who don’t, we are more than willing to send one. This is only possible because of your continued love and support of this ministry.

Dear Brother Ronald,

It’s taken me a while to answer you as I had to wait for funds that I hoped would come in from outside. It’s very hard to obtain any thing in here as there just aren’t enough jobs for the amount of inmates. I have no family left to help me out and it seems the few friends I had are falling by the wayside. I should be at this address for a long time and yes, I would like to have a copy of the workbook you offer. At this time I have no funds that I can send you to help with mailing. Brother, I will send stamps when I get them and I thank you for thinking of us in here.

Carlton, RI

To Whom This May Concern:

I have read your book, "Change Your Life Biblically" and I find it very enlightening. Truly in these times our knowledge does and hopefully will continue to increase. I have given my life to Jesus and most these "churches" seem pretty much blind to what exactly we are to follow. I know I must keep God’s 10 Commandments. I really do want to obey God so I come to you who has thus far been a tool in my enlightenment. What all do I need to obey or follow?

Claudio, UT

Dear Brother John,

I am writing to request your workbook. I have tried to find the required fee but have been unsuccessful. I am indigent and I was going to wait until I could come up with the stamps instead of writing and letting you know that I cannot afford to pay for it. I really wanted to do my part. I decided that my interest in learning from your workbook outweighed my pride of not being able to pay. So, will you please send me a workbook, and if in the future I can pay you for it, I will gladly do so. I am in a SHU (Segregated Housing Unit) because I used to be a leader of a gang. It’s hard to learn more about God and His wonderful redemption because I have no human contact. I do Bible studies daily to try and better myself and my walk with God. This has been my life, prison, and my dad recently passed away. My old lifestyle is gone and I need all the help I can get to stay rooted on the foundation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Tracee, CA

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

A friend let me read some of his copy of "Change Your Life Biblically". I liked it a lot with its new and enlightening takes on some rather tired themes. Invigorating, instructive and enlightening. Great Book! Will you please be so kind as to send me one? Thank you for the inspirational book which our Lord Jesus Christ helped to motivate, initiate and write.

Pete, OR

To Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I just got your Christian Training Center letter. I would like to get your workbook and answer sheets so I can get a certificate. But I don’t have any money coming in and I had to ask someone for the stamps to write you. I really would like to pass your workbook.

Chico, CA

JCPM,

By reading this whole book I learned a lot and it really inspired me to do more research and grasp a lot of information about the Bible. I’m looking forward to continue to do more spiritual work as possible. I had a good time completing this project. Thank you for helping me in my life to give the Lord my trust and my quality time with Him.

Shawn, CA

A letter from a California donor:

Hi Ron & Assistant,

I admire your zeal and dedication to the Lord’s work. Hope this small amount helps. God bless you in your earnest efforts to help others change lives. Will keep you in my prayers.

Evangeline, CA

God bless each of you who donate so faithfully each month. Without your faithfulness, we would not be able to do what we are doing.

Over the past few weeks I have been experimenting with "chat rooms" on the internet. At first I was not so sure about them. The "Christian chat rooms" were not so "Christian" in their behaviors. But soon I settled in and learned how to navigate them and develop a very thick skin. But the experiment is paying off. I have had some wonderful conversations with folks in the chat rooms. Here is an email from a lady I chatted with one afternoon in a chat room.

"Christian Friend In Christ,

I took a look at your website and I found it very interesting. I can see myself using some of your material. I do not have the funds right now but in the future, I would like to purchase some of your books.

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me and to share the love of Christ. Be blessed...The Lord has been speaking to me about faith and foundation as well.

Yours in Christ,

Rene, Internet Chat Room"

Juan, my son and I would like to extend our deepest appreciation for all of you for your love and support of this ministry. Juan is about halfway through his translating of the book, "Change Your Life Biblically". Soon we will be ready to have it printed. Again, we share the fact that it will cost about $25,000 to have the book printed in Spanish. Your continued support in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Ron, Juan & Jeff
