Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: Hello, My name is Michael. I thank you for your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". It has opened my eyes and answered so many questions that no one would ever answer in the past. But anyway, I’m almost done with all the questions at the end of it. Michael, GA
Dear Ronald John, I was told about your offer and found that I had to give it a try. I am indigent. Will that be a problem? I am in the SHU at this point and time. With any luck I’ll be out early next year. I’ll be able to get a yard job and then I can send some money. Please let me know what I need to do. I’m new to the Christian life so anything I can get will be a big help. Larry, CA
Hi, Somehow I ended up with your address on a piece of paper that I almost threw away. I am currently incarcerated. It is my wish that you send me all you can about Jesus. I am a fairly new Christian and would like to correspond with other Christians. Glenda, NV
Dear Brothers, I am 24 years old on my second term as an adult and am currently incarcerated. The reason I am writing is because I was talking to another Christian brother and he showed me this book all about Jesus. I was wondering and hoping and praying that if I wrote you, you guys might be able to help me out. I am currently totally without any way to pay for the book. Anthony, CA
Brother Ronald John, I have read some of your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I am impressed with the things I have seen and read. Although I am indigent with no support, it would be a blessing if you could send me a copy of the workbook. Sergio, CA
Dear Brothers in Christ, I’m writing because a brother here showed me a few of your letters/newsletters and your bulletin stating that "inmates are wanted" to serve the Lord and to learn about the Lord. I’m currently doing time in prison. I am very interested in learning more about our Lord and Savior and in sharing the good news to others here. I wanted to ask if you could please send me any info or materials in regards to this? Jacob, CA
Hello, My name is Ian and I am an SDA in an Arkansas prison. I have your book how to "Change Your Life Biblically". My pastor has talked to you. He lives in Arkansas and he is probably the reason I got the book and I wanted to say thank you for it and keep on abiding in the truth. Ian, AR
Dear Christ Ministry, I just wanted to sit down and write you a short letter because I know your ministry is a very busy one. I received your letter saying my workbook is on its way. I already received it and I wanted to say thank you for sending it to me. In fact, the first night I received the workbook I told myself, "I’m going to look through it real fast and I will start working on it within the next couple of day." Well, I couldn’t look through the book real fast. I found so many god things to read it’s been two days and I’m still reading it. I feel really blessed when the last prison I was in another Christian brother gave me your address. I know your ministry has all the answers I have been seeking for so long. Through your workbook the answers are coming to light. I’m 40 years old. This is my 7th time coming to prison since I’m been 19 years old. A lot of years have been wasted by me doing time behind bars. I will close here. I know you have many letters to read and studies to answer. Wally, CA
Dear Mr. Ronald John, When I sent the request for the bok, I was looking for something to read. Unfortunately this term I will be completely indigent. At the facility that I am at, there is a lot of institutional violence. Especially amongst the white inmates. Currently we are locked in our cells 24 hours a day with a shower under escort every three days. I will pray for you and your ministry. Charles, CA
Dear Friends, At the moment, I am indigent. I am very interested in the workbook. If you can find a way to send me the workbook, I’ll promise with the help of the Lord to send you the ten stamps at a later time. With 30 years in the system, a lot of things change: family support, family members dying, etc. If this is asking for too much, I’ll understand. On the other hand, if you will send me a workbook, I know in my heart that I will be well pleased. Jimmie, FL
To Whom May Concern, I have been studying a great deal of the Bible since I’ve been locked up. At the present time I do not have any way of sending the stamps needed but I do have 3. One of my brothers let me glance over his book that he has. Mostly, I want to enhance my knowledge of the Bible. Scottie, FL This letter came from Ghana via email: I am SDA Evangelist in Ghana. My main aim is to preach the 3 angles message through out the country. A friend gave me a copy of your book entitle "Change your Life Biblically" in fact the book is very good and it will help my ministry so I plead with you in the mighty name of Jesus that try as much as you could to send me some copies so that I can give to the people freely to lead them into the Adventist faith. Thank you. Counting on You. Yours in Christ Evangelist Micheal Jimah, Ghana We are receiving so many requests like that one. But we are almost $17,000 in debt. We can not send another book or case until we get more funding. I’m on my knees. I pray that God will touch a heart or two to bail us out. Thank you folks. Those of you who have been so faithful in your giving each month are truly appreciated. We love so much. I pray that we will not have to close our doors.
Dear JCPM, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This book not only answered a lot of questions that I had, it also enlightened me in a way that I have never been before. I have read this book at least three times and plan to read it in time to come. I have told my family about the book and your ministry. I hope they will look closer and buy your book and any way give you a hand. Lance, CA
Brother Ron, I really did enjoy doing the workbook. My neighbor and I discussed the book daily and helped each other try to understand what it was saying. I have been in jails all my life. I never thought I would see the changes in my life that the love of God has brought out in me. I went from the bottom to where I am now. I am no longer ashamed of where I am. Tracyee, CA
Dear Ronald John, After reading your book and being convinced that we are to keep the Sabbath day holy, I became, for a short time, involved with a branch of the "Church of God" until their volunteer began to try to convince me, without Biblical proof, that God created the world, then utterly destroyed it and re-created it. Granted that it was "destroyed" by flood, when the waters receded, it was still there, not re-created. So I withdrew from attending their services on the Sabbath. I have been attending a Baptist or Evangelical service the third Saturday of the month. But the service is disappointing in that very little preaching is being done, and a lot of singing is going on to pump up the flesh. The people aren’t even getting the milk of the word, let alone the meat. I get more and better material out of your book, supplemented by another publication. So, I have also withdrawn from this service attendance. Within the past week, I have begun a discipleship training of a young man who has never read the Bible and thinks that everything he has been taught about Christianity is true. Does he have a rude awakening when he begins to look through my copy of "Change Your Life Biblically". I started him in Genesis and showed him that God not only "blessed the seventh day and made it holy . . ." Genesis 2-3, then I showed him Exodus 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy." When he gets through reading the apostolic letter (page 149) and the following, his eyes will be wide open. At the moment he is reading stuff from a preacher who says basically, "send me your money and get rich", which ignores the whole of the matter which conditionally gives that promise only by obeying all that God had said. My parole was approved. The joker in the deck is that I am now 76 years old and it is possible that I may die in prison. A recent physical exam showed a high cholesterol level and a deposit of plaque in my aorta. Joseph, TX
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am writing to inquire into your study book and application. I am a 21 year old Christian serving life and I’m very interested in studying the Word of God. So I want to humbly ask if you can provide me with any information in regards to your study books. Joey, CA
Dear Brother Ronald, As I read through the newsletter for some reason my heart went out to Tracee from CA. I guess I’ve been to AD-SEG and I know how it feels to be in there without anyone to talk to. It was in AD-SEG I got right with God and learned more in that isolated place. I believe the best place to learn and get right with God is an isolated place, a spiritual desert, no distractions, only him and God. I guess I’m saying this because he said he didn’t have any stamps to send you. Since I’ve been blessed with some stamps, here are some stamps to help him out in any way. I’m just sad I can’t do more. I’m pretty sure you’ve already sent him the book. If not, I will send you some more stamps to help for the postage. Timmy, CA
My name is Starr. I just want to say thank you for all of the help you all are giving to prisoners all over the world and I pray that the Lord put a blessing on Jesus Christ Prison Ministry like no other and I ask you to write back soon. Starr, CA
Dear JCPM, Thanks so much for your ministry. I’m a ward in the CYA (California Youth Authority) and am very thankful for the work of you two brothers. What can I do? Can you send me lots of flyers and applications so that I can pass them out to the wards on my unit or give one to the chaplain? Do you have any posters that you can send that will direct others to your ministry? And last but not least, may I have permission over here to make copies of your application forms. This is something that I can do. Kenton, CA
Dear Ronald, Thank you for responding to my letter. I am so happy I can’t wait to begin in my workbook and to begin my new journey. I’ve enclosed 10 stamps that I was blessed with today. Joe, CA
Dear Ronald, I just got your letter and I was looking forward to being able to do your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". But the reason I am writing you si I am totally indigent. I do not get any funds from the outside. The way I get my stamps is I trade food for them. I was so much looking forward to do your workbook. But I do understand that you have limited funds too. So I will be keeping your ministry in my prayer that you will be blessed with more funding. Ralph, FL
Hi, I would like to get your book called, "Change Your Life Biblically". I am very interested in reading the book. The chaplain here gave me your form to get the book from you. I get out of prison soon. But if you would please send the book to my home, I surely will read it. \Sean, FL
Dear Mr. John, Hi. I am very interested in doing the "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. I’m very tired of the way I’ve been living my life and just as tired of doing prison time. I’ve done this one too many times to have anyone taking care of me from the outside. It said in your letter to write to you if I were indigent. Well, at this point, I am. Thank you for your time and consideration. Rick, CA
Hello, I am highly interested in your "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook as well as in earning my own free Bible, web page and be a pen-pal. I do not possess the appropriate form to fill out but have taken the information from one and am including all of my personal information for you. I pray this will be enough and receive the work book or a response. Margarita, AZ
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am indigent. I am asking to please get a copy of "Change Your Life Biblically". I have had a chance to read bits and pieces of it and am very interested. I am also curious of the religious basis for the foundation of your book. Richard, ID
Dear Ronald John, Thank you for your letter. It is very uplifting and is inspiring. But I’m not able to pay for the shipping of the book in any way. I’m ashamed to say I’m indigent at this time without a pay number. I’m still in reception you see and I have no money at all. That ran out a long time ago. I’ve been in reception now for 47 days and I’m told it will be another 90 to 120 days before I’m indorsed to another prison because I’m on meds for my breathing (asthma). It’s hard for them to place me. Most of the time I trade food to get envelopes. The mail room hasn’t been giving us our indigent. It hasn’t been easy for me. I have no family. I lost my wife a long time ago. My cellie is a nonbeliever, but a good person. He gave me the stationary so I’d be able to write you. So maybe there’s hope for him as well. Thomas, CA
Greetings, My name is Jeremy. I am blind. Someone else is writing this as I dictate. But I assure you that these are my words. I have tried to find an organization who could provide me with a Holy Bible complete on computer disk, But have been refused each time. Most don’t have the resources and I’m sure an audio version of the Bible isn’t cheap. If you can help me get one, or point me out to someone who can, would be great. Jeremy, GA We did have a set of audio cassettes that were donated some time back to this ministry. We sent them to him, hoping that he will be able to use them. He did ask for a set on computer disk, but we did not have any to send. We thank each of you for your continued support. So many requests, so few funds. God bless you for your kindness.
Dear Mr. John, I just received your letter today about the "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. I am very appreciative that you responded back to me. I am very interested in receiving it, but at this time I am indigent. Since I came here, I had twins and my family takes care of them for me. So because they have my babies and their only 10 months old, they cannot afford to help me out while I’m here. I couldn’t ask them for help because they are helping me in that way. So, at this time, could you please send me the workbook? Veronica, IL
Dear Sir, I am very happy to write to you this letter. How are you? Please I would like to do a little introduction. I am Mr. Benard, the pastor of the SDA church in Ghana. We have 108 members with 10 members which form the evangelical team of the church. Please sir, the main objective of writing to you this letter is that, our evangelical team normally go for evangelism in several prisons to share the good news to the prisoners with the aim of winning souls for Christ. We need your assistance by donating boxes of Christian books for distributing them to prisoners. Thank you, Benard, Ghana
Dear JCPM, I have enjoyed reading this book tremendously. Not long ago I had a dream and in my dream the question was asked, "With so many ‘churches’ in our neighborhoods, why is there so much evil"? After reading this book, my question was truly answered in full. Denominations and grouping are what we’re witnessing today. After attending so many different "churches" I’ve always felt the presence of "man’s programming". The rituals and customs are overbearing. Now that I’ve been enlightened to the truth I have begun observing the Sabbath, obeying the commandments and trying to live like Jesus. This book is perhaps one of the greatest literary publications that exists today. Please keep up your good work and I’ll continue to spread "The Gospel" to the best of my ability. James, FL
Dear Sir, I am very excited to write to you this letter. I believe by the grace of God, you are one spiritually and physically fit as I am. I will like to introduce myself to you. I am a boy of sixteen years old, Christian and a boy who would like to read story books, magazines, Bible and Bible stories. My reason for writing this letter is that I read your bok which talked more to me and it has made me repent. I discussed what I read with my friend and it has also made them repent from their bad deeds, so please, I want some of your books to share with my friends. David, Ghana, Africa
Dear Brother Ron, It has been an ongoing blessing for me to enjoy the truths that have been brought to light for me through your ministry. As you had mentioned, this prison is a tough nut. At times I feel as if I am the only one destined to crack. There seems to be an argument against almost each and every stance once can make to support the Ten Commandments. No matter what. Brother, I have never known how much peace I could have through and by my belief in Christ. It is true I have been threatened because of my beliefs. But rather than feel fear, there is a sense of relief. Still I am blessed. There are two brothers who can see the light and seem to have no fear of studying the truth through an unshaded pair of glasses. I thank Go for them too. Well brother, no one said this road was going to be easy. But it is the one I have been looking for a long time. But how, please tell me how I can bring the Light to others that they too may see? Only God can increase on the seed I plant. It amazes me to consider the sorrow I feel, where before there was anger now only sadness. I do not understand is their desire to hide from the truth. Well, besides the turmoil of conversion, my life has purpose more than I knew possible. I thank God for the truth. "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1, 2 Timothy, CA
Ronald John, Dear Sir. I am writing because I would like to participate in your program. My brother and I are currently totally indigent and can not afford the fee of 10 first class stamps. However, we are very interested in receiving your workbook and being placed on your mailing list to receive your monthly newsletter. Thank you and may God bless and keep you always. Nathaniel, CA
Dear Ron John, I am in charge of the yard III chapel library here at this prison. I lead Bible studies with a group of fellows here as well. I saw one of your study books that a brother had who was here for a while. I was told if I filled out one of the book study requests that he gave me and sit down and wrote you an honest letter telling you how I have no type of funds at all coming into me or my account for I am indeed indigent with no money. Well, I was told that you would still be willing to perhaps help me out and bless me so as I can bless others in return who are here with me as well by doing group Bible studies with the truth within your study book. Thank you so much. Vernon, CA
Dear Ronald, I would like to say first off, God bless you and your ministry. I have your book at hand and it really gave me an uplifting. I hope and pray that God will continue His blessing at this time. I’m in prison and there are many of us that read your book. It really has helped brothers in here to understand a lot more. Ronald, CA
Dear Brother Ron, Thank you for your letter. It is a blessing to hear from you. I have come to understand that to many, this is a new and strange doctrine. One to which many people would rather come against, without even allowing their eyes to see. I have found it necessary to refrain from conversations with fellow brothers along scriptural lines. I have had to reevaluate my motives, and truly I don’t believe this is so. No, but it is true I have a passion for the truth. But here too required more acceptance. I can’t change anybody’s understanding. All I can do is plant seed by trying to remove scales. I’m afraid I may have slowed the process of growth in others. I too acknowledge your concern about pagan Sunday keepers. Again, I have sorrow for such people. After so many years of being lied to, it is hard for people who perceive the roots of their belief to be true and whole. If I had not been so disappointed in the lack of healing in my life, I too may not have been in a place to allow, "Change Your Life Biblically" to change me. It’s also true, I like many others, was a typical "gracer". No responsibility to my own eternal salvation. But that too was to simple for me to accept. In conclusion, before I chose to change my "foundational beliefs", I had more friends. Today there are those who seem to flee when I come, like oil to water. Praise God, for today I have been given a little more wisdom. And to know how the narrow way has to be. I thank God for the trials and tribulations I have gone through, if that is what it took for the scales to be knocked loose from my eyes. I again thank you for your ministry. Timothy, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, My name is Christopher Cooper and I am just sending you this message to let you know that you are doing some great things. I am not an inmate in prison, but I still appreciate it. I know if I was in the situation that some of these men and women are in, I would love to have an organization like this to offer help. I received the book "Change Your Life Biblically". I have not begin to read it yet, but from my quick skimming, it seems to be a winner. I also thank you for your monthly newsletter. It is so enriching to hear the stories from inmates around the world, who are finding hope, in a generally hopeless environment. I too have my own ministry, it is not like anything of this caliber, but I believe the spirit of God has called me to definitely make a difference in helping people, one way or another. I just want to say what nice guys you are, to distribute so many life changing resource materials, to prisons and people all around the world. It no doubt seems to be a challenging task, but I believe you all are definitely fulfilling God’s will for your life. I would just like to let you know that I will be sending you a love gift of appreciation for all that you do. To be applied to wherever it is needed, to continue your great work. I will keep you all and the ministry in my prayers. Thanks, Christopher C. Cooper The above letter came via email. How encouraging. Also, how encouraging are the donations that you good folks are sending in. Many are doing what they can to help us get out of debt. Your prayers and support are paying off. Thank you and God bless each of you. Love in Christ, Ron
