Last month we prayed for Rubin and his family who were living in a car. He writes, "I wanted to thank you for the offer on letting my folks stay at the ministry. Got some great news. My folks have been blessed with an apartment. Now they are happy and doing well. God bless. It’s been nearly 4 years since they’ve had their own place. Thank you brother for putting my prayer request in the July newsletter."

I am sending all my mail out by indigent envelopes supplied with my weekly welfare kit supplied by the county. May I still receive your study course? I have handed out to other inmates order forms for your Bible course. They have the funds for the stamps. I would truly love to work for your ministry here in jail in any way possible.

I am reading your book. Your book is going to take lots of study for me. I will be reading that book for years. It seems to me that you lean more towards Sabbath keepers. I got to tell you, I argued with those people for years about the Seventh day Sabbath. And now I agree with them. What’s funny about it is it took me to claim "non-denomination" before I could see the truth. I was so busy defending a sabbath that I couldn’t support with any means. I just couldn’t see the truth. Now it is clear to me as the day is long. In fact, with what I have read, I don’t see how they can refuse the Seventh day Sabbath. It could be because of what they were taught all their lives and they are just plain stubborn about it. I know I was. I feel better about myself knowing that I have found a lot of answers to my studies. But the sad part is my family they go to church on Sunday and some how I have got to get through to them that Saturday is the Sabbath. I know one thing, I said something about the 4th commandment to a friend and it was like touching the wrong button. So you see I got a job to do. It’s going to take a long time.

I want to thank you for sending me the books. I got it before the letter you wrote. I got the letter one day after I got the book. I ask you if you got the book in Spanish. There are people here that don’t speak English or read English. They ask me if they can get it in Spanish. My celly is one of them. I’m helping him but there are words in English that are hard for me to translate. I have learned a lot from your book. Things that I didn’t know. I have done a lot of bad things and I thank God that I am still alive. Now I’m gonna do 18 years in prison. I am 22 years old. You seem to be a good man and what you are doing is a good work for God. The book, it helped me to understand the Bible better and how God wants me to be. It is hard for me to apply things to my heart and mind, but step by step I’m going there. I’m learning more how to control myself from my attitude, anger, hate and all that is not easy. But I can do it because I got a Friend named Jesus.

Dear Folks,
It is with sad heart that I must report that Juan has left the ministry and returned to the world. The ministry now has an opening for a young man, 18-20 or so, who would like to come and fill that position. How true it is, so few will be saved. Everyone wants to be saved, but very few are willing to fulfill the requirements that God has laid down for our salvation.
Another wonderful opportunity has also presented itself. A family has requested that I come and share with their church the story of this ministry and all that the Spirit has placed on my heart. They are raising the funds and inviting people to a Sabbath potluck. Pray that God will permit me to go and share what He has given me.
