"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?... there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." PRAISE THE LORD
Prison Mission Report!
Dear Brothers and Sister in Christ,
The following letter is very good. It comes from a death row inmate from Arizona. It doesn’t matter where we are. It matters who we are. Whether we are on death row as John the Baptist, Paul, Peter, James and many other of the saints, or living the "free" life in society, we as Christians are to live our faith. We are never to judge, but to forgive and love. God will do the judging at the end of time. Our job is to love.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage each of you on the "outside" to take a few moments to go on-line and go to our web site and to our "Pen-Pal" section. Go a choose one or more inmates to write to. These are probably the "cream of the crop" since they all have finished our Bible study course.
Being in prison is lonely. Many just want a friend to talk with. Can you take a few minutes each month to let them know you care. Remember, as you do to them, Jesus will do to you. Let us never forget that. How do you want Jesus to treat you?
If you follow the directions you will be OK. If you don’t have a computer, or a library with a computer, or a friend’s you can use, write me or call me and ask for our list. I will be delighted to mail it off to you.
Dear Brother John,
I’m in receipt of your letter and also received your book, "Change Your Life Biblically", which contains the most awakening, and inspiring study of the Bible that I have been confronted with to this present day. You indicated in your letter to me that your records show that you had sent me this book years ago. My journal does show that I had requested your study, but that I never received any response nor your book. But that isn’t surprising for this institution. I am only allowed to have 5 books. Here on (death) row they have a whole different set of polices than they have for the main population. They took away all our hobby craft and typewriters. I have read your book for the third time already. I am a researcher at heart and love to be learning and studying. Especially regarding the Bible. You can say I spend about 16 hours a day with your book and my Bible. I have completed your answer sheets. I’ll still be studying within your book continuously for some time to come. Another reason for completing your answer sheets and getting them back to you is because I would like very much to be placed on your web-site and especially your Pen-Pal. I have no family and am not a young person. The worst thing about being here is being alone. The prison only supplies you with one roll of toilet paper each week. They charge the inmate a dollar a month for electricity and three dollars for every visit to the Medical. If you don’t have the funds, you pay your bill from outside when you leave. Our religious studies are also a bit restricted. You can only make do with what material you have within your cell. There is no allowance for any "get together" whatsoever. I can talk to my neighbors on my right and left fairly easily, but I don’t get to see them except on recreational and shower days which is three times a week. It is pretty hard to practice what one has learned in regards to one doing missionary work here. I do have a limited chance with one of my neighbors. They make it so we are quite limited in just about everything. I do practice my Christianity daily, just saying "Thank you" to an officer is a highlight, even to them for they don’t expect it. I definitely enjoyed doing this study. Many of my questions were answered. Also, a lot of my own personal beliefs were confirmed, especially regarding our present day "churches". This is the first study I have done that presented the same truths I myself believe regarding their systems, etc. I have been studying and seeking the truth of the Bible and religion for many years. Learning Hebrew and Greek just so I could advance my knowledge and understanding. Your text/study has really put it all together.
Edward, AZ
Dear Ronald,
I have been in prison for the first time and will be getting out soon. I have been successful in completing several Bible studies and courses. I am currently doing some college courses to get my AA in religion. A brother in Christ showed me this study and I was very interested in it and was wondering if you could possibly bless me with what I need to get started.
Scott, CA
JCPM,
I have heard a lot of good things about your workbook and am very excited and looking forward to receiving it.
Mark, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministries,
A friend gave me this pamphlet and I read it and I’m interested in the workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I’m a new Christian. I have been studying the Word of the Lord for a year and a half now. I’m trying my best to live according to the Lord. To please and do His will. I would like information on how to work for Jesus in your ministry. Can more of these forms be sent so that more inmates here can know of your ministry?
Erick, CA
Ronald,
I am indigent and I am without support and would like to receive one of your books. It sounds like you are getting your life together.
Benny, CA
To: Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I want to start this letter by saying, "Thank you" for sending me this book. It has been a big help to me and still is. I have been getting much understanding from this book. I haven’t finished the book because I just recently had a knee surgery. I wasn’t able to take the book along with me. But I am back and reading it now and am half way through the book. It is such a good book. I have learned a lot about different things. One thing is the Sabbath day. I think I pretty much understand it now. I will be leaving to rehab soon and hopefully I will be able to take it with me to finish it. I know in my heart that this ministry is helping people to understand the Bible with the hard nose, no bull, corn or sugar coating. You put it in a way that people like us can understand. I say thank God for such a bold ministry.
Jose, TX
Brother Ron,
I am really enjoying the study, "Change Your Life Biblically". It has opened my eyes to a lot of things. I do believe in the 7th day Sabbath and always have. I also try to live by the Ten Commandments. While it is easy to do so here in prison, I am continuing to build strength for when I am on the streets. I still have 1 1/2 years to go. I am spending my time in the Word, learning all I can. When I get released I want to work in a youth or prison ministry so that I may help others before they make the mistakes I did. I will go. I just wanted to thank you for the workbook.
Steven, CA
Dear Brother: Request for Biblical Literature.
I love to study and conduct Bible studies with my fellow members of the church as well as members of different denominations. My humble request is that you send me the biblically literature which I will be using when sharing the Word of God with my friends mentioned above. I will be reaching the prisons so that they can as well hear the good news of our Savior Jesus Christ.
William, Zambia, Africa
Folks, we are doing everything we can. But with the little we receive each month in donations, we are not able to send cases of books overseas at this time. We will be able to once we reach our goal of $50,000. We thank each of you who are making sacrifices and fine tuning your giving arrangements so we can accomplish this. Many of you are sending us all your tithes and offerings until we reach our goal. I want to thank you.
Dear Brother John,
Thank you for your letter. It was nice to receive mail. I apologize for not explaining my situation to you previously. I am a 45 year old Hispanic in desperate need of spiritual guidance. I am sorry for not sending the 10 stamps you requested. I am completely indigent. I don’t have stamps, cosmetics or anything else. I really need to change my life. My life as I knew it is over. I am a wanted man within the system (all behind drugs). If you could find it within your heart to send me your workbook I would really appreciate it.
Richard, CA
JCPM,
I would like to receive from you this workbook from you. A friend told me about it. I would enjoy reading this book myself.
Daniel, CA
Dear Ronald John,
I am writing this along with my Bible study partner. We are currently in prison. We received your address from a brother in our cell block. He told us to write and ask for your self-help book, "Change Your Life Biblically". We are new brothers in Christ and are looking for ways to get closer to God. We have enclosed 20 stamps for you to send us a book each.
Omar, CA
Hi Ron,
It’s a real test being on lock down and being in a cell with a headstrong Jehovah’s Witness who is so brainwashed he doesn’t want to learn the truth. I see how 2 Peter 3:16 is so prevalent. He likes twisting the meanings of Scripture. It is readily available to him, the twisting I mean. Every answer I give, quoted right from Scriptures, he’s got interpretations of his own or the Witnesses. It’s hard to believe my faith and strength can get any stronger. I’ve felt this way for a couple of years. But I look back and see how the Lord has increased them so much over the years. I really had no belief, no faith at all in God before I got locked up. I look back and I’m totally amazed at the transformation. It was such a blessing that my mind wasn’t firmly planted in any one belief at the time. I can see how so many are led in the wrong direction. It’s so hard to unlearn something that’s been so firmly implanted in your mind. I always think about those phony treasure maps that have people digging and digging but they don’t realize they are digging in the wrong spot.
Peter, IL
Dear Ron,
Thank you for the newsletter. Very uplifting. Sir, your book is so powerful and informative. I’m reading it now for the second time. Well, actually volume I as I want it all to sink in before I move on. Here are stamps for your work. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love your book and I pray that it touches many, many more.
Richard, CA
To Whom it may Concern,
I seen your pamphlet and it made me and my friend interested in the Word of God. I would like to receive the book and whatever else you have to offer about God’s Word. Thank you in the highest.
Antonio, CA
Hello,
I have read a little of your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I must say, I truly like your outlook and appreciate your expression of your thoughts. Please send me a copy of the books.
Theodore, CA
Brother Ronald,
The Lord blessed me with $100 today. The state took out 55% for restitution. I am sure you know that. Here is $7.80 to further the ministry. When I receive any other monies, I'll send my tithes. I just finished reading all the way through the study book. I started over hoping not to miss anything. I could have missed a lot of stuff when Satan was persecuting me. I have neighbors who flood their cell in the morning. Then late at night they yell and scream. I pray each night for you and the ministry. May God bless you and continue helping inmates. We all need it.
Dennis, CA
JCPM,
I would like to receive a Bible study from you. I would love to change my life biblically. I would like to work for Jesus Christ. I need to change my life forever. The other night I listened to a Bible study over my vent. I would like to change.
Jon, CA
Brother Ronald John,
I go your letter, thanks. I accept my sentence here. I deserve death for my crimes and sins. I committed murder at the age of 16 years old. I was a member of a street gang in East LA. My father died before I was born. Killed in a gang related dispute. My mom tried, but she had her own demons. She became a drug addict and couldn’t care for me and my brothers. She was in and out of jail and prisons my whole life. I was sentenced to 15 to life plus 5 for second degree murder at 16 years old for shooting one of my enemies. I don’t look for pity, I just tell you a little about myself brother Ron. I take your pamphlets and sow seeds here in this dark place. I plant seeds so the Lord can work in these lost souls here.
Richard, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I have recently given my life to God and have been studying with fellow inmates in Bible study. I came across a book called, "Change Your Life Biblically" and to my understanding I can request the book from your ministry. It would really be a blessing if you could send this to me. I thank you so much in advance.
Kevin, VA
Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I am happy to know your ministry has been helping inmates in different facilities. I am sending 20 first class stamps to your ministry so I may start my studies. Do what is best with the remainder 10. I wish I could help more, but I am unable do to my status.
Salvador, CA
JCPM,
I think your study is awesome and has changed my life. There was a lot of stuff I did not know because of the way I was brought up.
Andre, CA
Dear Christian Brothers & Sister,
I was informed of your ministry and was told about a book that I really need to read. It is called, "Change Your Life Biblically". I was told you could maybe help with this.
Kirk, CA
Greetings in the name of the Lord,
I am very interested in your "Change Your life Biblically" and any other influential books to enhance my spiritual walk with Christ. I’ve seen this book through the women here and one of them gave me your info. So, I’m writing.
Antoinette, CA
Hello,
A fellow inmate sister has told me about your program. She also told me of a book called, "Change Your Life Biblically". I would be honored if you would be able to send me a copy. It would really be a blessing for me. I thank you so much.
Pamela, VA
Hey Ron,
Thank you for the book, Bro. I jumped right into it and started seeing and learning things right away. I don’t know were I’ve heard some of this before. I started keeping the Sabbath right away. I feel the rest of the law will be easier now to keep. I also got mail from Kevin already. Your book and God have made a new man out of him. He is an inspiration to me. I know I too will be and I am already a new man in Christ. Thank you again Ron. I study everyday and I’m eating it up. I am learning what God wants for me.
Mike, CA
(Kevin was in jail with Mike. Kevin read the book and changed his life. When he got out he kept in touch with me and the men in jail with him. He is encouraging them to continue and to learn.)
JCPM,
Russel and I came together with 10 stamps to receive a book a piece for the both of us. I’m totally indigent. I’m writing you and being honest.
Jeffery, CA
Family in Christ,
A fellow follower of Christ Jesus shared your flyer for the "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. I would appreciate this and whatever else you can send to help me grow closer to our Lord and Savior. I and many others thank Jesus for blessing us with your help.
James, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
Thank you for sending the "Change Your Life Biblically" to me. It has been a blessing to read. I would like for you to please send my mother a workbook. Would you please do that for me? Enclosed is the order form with her address. I believe she would like the book and bookmarkers. The newsletters you sent me I have read and were inspiring. It would be nice to hear from you all soon.
Jeffrey, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
I have been incarcerated many times in my life. I have been told about your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". Never before have I turned to God for any reason. I want to know. There is a man here saying that your book could change my life. I would like to know.
David, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I am writing you to request a "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. My cellie is doing your study and I would like to do the study also if you could send me the workbook as soon as possible.
Eugenio, CA
JCPM,
My name is Michael and I am trying to turn my life over to God and make a change in my life. I would like one of your books, "Change Your Life Biblically". Thank you very much.
Mike, TN
Dear Friend,
This is Thomas. I got your letter yesterday in the mail. I am still working on the book you sent to me. I know I’ve had it a while, but I am a slow reader. I am working on it. I have a question for you. If I get to go home before I finish the book, can I still finish it? I would like to get the certificate that you told me about.
Thomas, CA
God bless you JCPM,
I would like to thank you for the three books you sent me. I received them and you made my day. I was born in El Salvador and brought to the US when I was 8 years old. I was brought here by my sisters after the death of my mom when I was 4 years old. They killed my two brothers. After my brothers were killed, my dad died in a car accident in 1980. I got deported but because I don’t have nobody or anything over there I decided to come back. I am doing three years for reentry.
Juber, CA
Ron,
Good morning. I am a week early this month with my tithes. I received them yesterday and you’ve been on my mind and in my prayers hourly. So I do hope all is well and you’re not overworking yourself to be able to care for the flock appropriately. I know this is at times easier said than done because I am aware you are also in need of more gentlemen to help you with the ministry. So I pray for God to bring faithful workers and laborers to the field. You know, I’ve seen a few ladies here very recently receive their CYLB books you sent them. There is a very hungry sister here whom I sat and explained about the book and told her she could write you with any questions she had about the Word and how you will answer with biblical back up only. She is so excited and reading it with such openness of heart and mind. I love it. Well brother, I am enclosing a book of stamps.
Diana, CA
Prison Ministry,
I came across a pamphlet about a free workbook. I would like to have one please. I like what Kenny had to say about it. I did not have a form so I hope this will help.
Ruben, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
I am in prison with a brother who showed me your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". But he would not let me read it. He said I had to get my own. So, I would like to get one as soon as possible. I am enclosing 5 stamped envelopes. That is all I have right now. I will send the rest soon. I would also like to request some of your pamphlets to handout.
David, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
What a pleasant surprise. Not a lot of other ministries will do such a thing as to write a letter. So thank you, very uplifting. Brother, you are so right about the importance of certificates. More important that you know I’m in this for truth and truth is Jesus. All my life has been "Mine, mine, mine", or yours it didn’t matter so long as Richard had his. I’m not new to the Bible. But I am new at trying to turn my life over. Your book is so real; I mean it says what it says and that’s what I like about it. Very easy to read. I used to believe all I had to do was believe in Jesus, ask for forgiveness. Your knowledge of the Bible is awesome. It says what it says, not what people want it to say. Follow me means what it means. A blessing I got is to know that Jesus didn’t come to adjust or redo the Commandments but to show us how to live them. His love and His desire for us to be with Him, we must do what pleases Him, not what pleases us.
Richard, CA
Dear Brother in Christ,
I’m really enjoying the Bible study course. God is revealing a lot to me. I am about half way done with the study. I’m writing you to let you know to keep up the "works" your doing. I just did the chapter on "works".
David, CA
Dear Sir,
I’ve been reading and studying the book, "Change Your Life Biblically" and I have been deeply enlightened. The book that I possess does not belong to me. I would love to have a copy of this extraordinary Bible study for myself. Just the few chapters I have read thus far have changed my outlook and what I believed as a youth tremendously. I see that you have diligently searched the scriptures and God has rewarded you abundantly.
Joseph, TX
Mr. John,
May God bless you and may I thank you for your ministry. Please let my donation demonstrate my eagerness to start your Bible study and get involved with your ministry. I referred your ministry to a couple of friends and good Christian brothers.
Victor, OR
JCPM
I became interested in getting your workbook through a friend of yours. He is trying hard to spread the word. I am always interested in anything spiritual cause I am currently in limbo in religion. I’m a Native American struggling to find the truth in the spiritual world. I wish you luck in spreading your workbook. Anything helps in this messed up world we live in these days.
James, MT
Dear Ron John,
Hi Ron, I’m Kevin’s old celly. I’m going up state and can’t take what you gave me, "Change Your Life Biblically". I would like to write you again and let you know where I am, then have books resent. I’m sending you twenty stamps. I really liked what you sent. It has helped me in so many ways. I was lost out there, on the outside. I didn’t care about anybody or anything. Not my health/what happened to me. Now I have a reason to live, something to look forward to when I get out, life, the right life. I’m not mad anymore at anybody. Before I hated everyone. Kevin helped me a lot. He pointed me in the right direction. Ron, Thanks for your book. It has helped me understand.
Derek, CA
That is it for this month folks. We are deeply in debt. I pray that hearts will be touched to help us get out of debt so we can move forward.
Love in Christ, Ron
