Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and cloth you? when did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me." Matthew 25:37-40
PRAISE THE LORD
Dear Brothers and Sister in Christ,
"The church of Christ, (which is) every individual disciple of the Master, is heaven’s appointed channel for the revelation of God to men. Angels of glory wait to communicate through you heaven’s light and power to souls that are ready to perish. Shall the human agent fail of accomplishing his appointed work? Oh, then to that degree is the world robbed of the promised influence of the Holy Spirit! ...
"As the rays of the sun penetrate to the remotest corners of the globe, so God designs that the light of the gospel shall extend to every soul upon the earth. If the church of Christ (each individual) were fulfilling the purpose of our Lord, light would be shed upon all that sit in darkness and in the region and shadow of death. Instead of congregating together and shunning responsibility and cross bearing, the members of the church would scatter into all lands, letting the light of Christ shine out from them, working as He did for the salvation of souls, and this ‘gospel of the kingdom’ would speedily be carried to all the world." {MB 40-42}
Dear Ronald,
Greetings. I’m writing about the Bible study you have to offer. Honestly, I am indigent and have no source of income. I am currently enrolled in an ex-gang member program. Yes, I have renounced my gang affiliation. I am no longer involved in the gang life. This is a 9 month program all ex-members must attend in order to be let out into general population. I’m at the time beginning my 5th month into the program. I am very interested in your Bible study course and all that you have to offer concerning the Word of God.
Christopher, TX
Ron,
I received your letter and the newsletter, but I have not yet received the book you said you sent. Since reading the newsletter I am definitely eager to get my hands on the book and anything else you may have for me to devour. I have sent out the flyers and the brochures you sent me. You should probably get some mail soon.
Jason, TX
Dear Brother Ronald,
I have finally received your book and look forward to studying it thoroughly. I will read it through at least 5 times before attempting to answer the questions. My other brother who received your book was happy when I received mine. We plan on studying together and growing in the truth. We will definitely contact you if we have any questions. I also am interested in working for Jesus in this ministry.
Andres, CA
Brother Ronald,
I just wanted to check in and say "hello". Well, the Messianic Jew thing isn’t going to work out for me. They were putting to much focus on the Jew part for me and didn’t really want to hear the truth from me. So I stepped back from them and went back to my own study and Sabbath worship. So, it is just me again. I came across someone that had a letter from JCPM. I saw the envelope. I guess he sent one of the flyers I set out. I sat down with him and kind of went over the truth with him. I went over the basics with him. I asked him if he was ready to live a perfect life without sin. He told me no one can be perfect. We are all sinners his preacher told him. We all sin. I know where he is coming from because I’ve heard it all myself. I kept talking, but he wasn’t trying to hear the truth so I let it go. I just pray the truth gets through to his heart. I have not had anyone write me yet. I hope someone does. But that too is in Christ’s hands. It would be nice but gaining the truth and you as a brother was more than I could have hoped for. I love you for it. Thank you. Please pray for my dad. He is in ICU with cancer in his liver and might not make it. I lost my mom to cancer and my wife to a house fire in the time I’ve been locked up. It would be hard to lose him too. I love you brother. Now that my dad’s down, your letters are all the mail I get. I am so grateful that you care. Thank you.
Jonathan, TX
(Folks, if you can find it in your hearts, please go to our web site and to our Pen-Pal section and pick out a few inmates and write them. It will do you a world of good to reach out and strengthen your faith by doing good to inmates. If you can’t get the list off the web site, write and I will send you the list. God blesses those who reach out to help those the world has despised and forsaken.)
Dear Brother in Christ,
I just received the book, "Change Your Life Biblically". It is very informative reading. I most certainly would like to work for your ministry. I try to solicit followers here right now by handing out the applications you mailed to me.
Larry, CA
Dear Ronald,
I hope to be done with the study real soon. I’m sending you my cellie’s hook-up so you can send him the study book, "Change Your Life Biblically". My cellie is a really good man. I care about him and I would like to help him to read your book and learn about Jesus like you and me. I can send you 5 stamps and I’ll work out and try to get the rest before I get released. But if not I’ll send the stamps to you after I go home, OK?
Hillman, CA
Dearest Ronald John,
Sorry it’s taken a minute to get back to you. I had to hustle up a couple of stamps. I usually trade stuff out of my lunch or sell original poetry. I’m getting closer to being ready to do the worksheets. I can see why it needs to be read so many times. Lots of information in there. I get some thing new out of it every time. I really enjoy the book because it answers so many questions. Being naturally inquisitive, I find myself with questions. I really enjoy your book cause it is a perfect companion to my Bible. Most intelligent people will ask themselves the questions which are answered in your book. I now truly believe your book was divinely inspired to serve as a buttress to those with skeptical minds so that they can be saved too, despite their tendency to question the validity of certain scriptures.
John, CA
To Whom It May Concern,
I was wondering if you could please send me a copy of "Change Your Life Biblically"? I got one small problem, I’m indigent. I don’t got no money or stamps to send you. I’m sorry. I am really trying to learn as much as I can so I can show my family that I’m a changed person. I pray that I’ll get blessed with your outstanding book that I heard so much about.
Victor, CA
Ronald John,
My cellie Christopher told me about your Bible study workbook. I am so very interested. I am seriously indigent. Can I please receive the book? It would make me so happy.
Isaiah, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
I write to you to thank you for giving to the Lord and for your labor you do for inmates. A friend and fellow brother gave me your book and this course. I have read and studied your course diligently. I have completed many Bible courses since I gave my life to Christ. But not one of them explains salvation the way you do. The prison chapel offers many courses. But since reading your course and completing it, I have chosen to drop out of my last studies and truly study the true Word of God and to put away any book or opinion and search the scripture with prayer and study. I will also keep your book to look back through as I study. I desire to draw closer and closer to my Lord and Saviour. I must tell you, it amazes me. Since I gave my life to God, my moral values have completely changed.
Roy, FL
Dear Brother Ronald,
I want to have Jesus in my life so I can live my life in peace and serenity and joy and pain free. A man who is also here showed me the way to Christ and he also opened my heart or at least helped me open my heart to Christ and receive Him as my savior. I’m just asking that you please send me one of your workbooks. I want to change my life for my son.
Nelson, PA
Dear Brother,
Thank for your ministry and the glory you are bringing to the Lord. I would very much like to study the book you wrote, "Change Your Life Biblically".
James, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
Thank you for the book. I got it about three months ago but I have been here in SHU all this time. I was waiting to get out of the hole to write you back to thank you. I didn’t think it was going to take this long. I’m grateful to God now for all the special time I have to read your book and get closer to the Lord. I try to do my share of the Lord’s work as much as possible while in the SHU. I don’t really know if you received any requests for your book from South Carolina. Hopefully you have and that means that inmates are getting the flyers. Also, thank you for your newsletter. Please don’t stop your newsletter from coming. For sometime your newsletter is the only mail we inmates look forward to receive. I have a cellmate that would like to request your book. I am enclosing 10 stamps for your workbook. Thank you once again for the book and all your love and hard work. Keep it up.
Gilbert, SC
Dear JCPM,
My name is LaToya. I would like to know if you will please send me a free volume of "Change Your Life Biblically"? A friend has one and let me borrow it for a few days for something to read and then wanted it back. So I wrote down the address for myself. Glad I did. I’m really grateful. Your book really touched my home with me. It breaks down the Bible to the simplest terms and makes me better understand Jesus and myself even better and takes out the confusion. Please, if you would be so kind to send me one, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’d like to further my knowledge and understanding of living a better life in Jesus.
La Toya, CA
Hello,
Praise God for your ministry. I have read about the free workbook and I am interested in it. I would like to do Bible studies in my cell.
Jaime, CA
Dear Brother in Christ,
I am pretty new in my walk with my Lord Jesus Christ. I recently came across another inmate reading your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I jotted down the information to write to you to request a copy for myself. I am very interested in reading your book for myself. I am also interested in working to change my life based on God’s Word. Please send me a copy of your book.
Ronda, CA
Dear Brother John,
Thank you for responding to my request for your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I am sorry to inform you that I am totally indigent. I have passed out your pamphlets to other inmates. If you could, I would really love a workbook. So if you could find it in your heart to let me have one, then God bless you.
Shaun, GA
(Folks, we are $25,000 in debt. Sending books is getting harder and harder. I pray that Shaun’s request, along with the other 3 million inmates in the US, will be met by your self-sacrificial love for Jesus.)
Dear Reader,
My name is Juan Gonzalez-
The reason for this letter is to congratulate you for your great labor you have on your shoulders, trying or bringing help so that we can change our lives, and so we could accept God as our Savior. I sent you a request one week ago for the book name: Change Your Life Biblically.
I don’t know if you have it in Spanish, but if not in English is OK. I got a letter from you asking if I get help from the outside and the truth is that I don’t right now.
The only way I can promise to pay is to get you some clients so they can get the book and paying for it, or by sending you some drawings. Please if you can provide me with, or help me and God will bless you.
Att. Juan Gonzalez
May God bless you-
(Again folks, we need funding to get the book translated into Spanish. We need about $25,000 to get it printed in Spanish for both here in the USA and in El Salvador. Your help in encouraging your friends and family and others to help us would be appreciated. God bless each of you for your love and support. As we do to the least of these, He will do unto us.)
Dear Ronald,
I’m writing to you to ask for your book. Here are 10 stamps. I’m a new believer in Jesus and it’s kind of hard understanding the does and don’ts. But I would love to be a part of your ministry. It’s very hard being a Christian. It’s easy being the old. But that’s what I wanted, a new life and to walk with the Lord. I would just like to thank you for giving new believers like me hope.
Regina, CA
Dear Ronald John,
It has been a while since I wrote. I moved. I recently picked your "Change Your Life Biblically" book up again. I had it put up. I just found the November newsletter and was reading it. I need to ask you too send me some flyers to hand out around here for your book.
Marc, CA
Dear Ron,
Thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to share in this book. There are very high points that I am very excited about. Things revealed that I can only praise God for. So thank you. There are also very controversial things in this book. I enjoy those things because it gives me time to do full in-depth study of them. I must change my life biblically and am. The church and its institution has beguiled people of their rewards for too long. I do applaud you and your ministry and I thank you. I wish all could come out of prison and get right with God. Keep up the good work and be blessed. I have sent all your flyers out to many in prisons and even some churches. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. Since receiving it I have stepped back and studied it. Boy, your book is something else. I have struggled, prayed, fought, prayed, got angry and settled myself throughout this study. One thing I can say, your tact in making your message is very right to the point. So is mine. I enjoyed that.
Jason, TX
Dear Brother Ron,
I am so thankful for your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". It was a bit uncomfortable to behold that I had been taught wrong by so many people that pledged their love for me. I’m also glad that you understand what it’s like being in prison serving Jesus. Right now I have given up all meat and I’m not finding it too difficult. I’ve been faithful for three weeks! I also have been faithful at keeping the Sabbath. I meet so many so-called believers who appose this endeavor of mine (to be obedient to God according to scripture). So far I have inspired one brother to begin studying "Change Your Life Biblically". I don’t meet a lot of resistance from him. I’m so tired of this theme of being a "failure" in my life. I feel like I’m standing alone.
James, TX
Dear Worker for Jesus,
I feel very blessed that I answered one of the papers. I wanted to be part of helping and doing the book. I did receive the book and I thought I would be done fast. But as you said to take my time. I just wanted to thank you all for helping me believe more that I could do this time feeling free.
Luis, CA
To Whom It May Concern,
I’m serving a 2 year term. I recently transformed into a new believer. I am wondering if you could send me "Change Your Life Biblically".
Martin, CA
My Dear Brother Ron,
We finally came off lock down. Had a wonderful Sabbath this week. I now speak and study with three men. It brings me much joy. Like today with Gary and Jack we sat down on the rec. yard and prayed. Then I began to read from CYLB and a few Bible verses. After a page or two I stopped and asked if they were bored. They both were like, "No, no, keep going". Sometimes I don’t know how powerful the Lord’s words really are. But we enjoyed ourselves. You’re right, letting go of self is hard. Right now I’m trying to learn more of this selfless love so I can use prayer properly and use scripture properly when I’m talking with others. A lot of men want to argue and I get caught in stupid philosophical arguments that will lead no one to the love of Christ. So now I just walk away from things that lead to nowhere. I’m glad to hear good things about the ministry, especially about the Spanish edition. I’m excited because I want to learn Spanish. Plus, there are quite a few men here who could benefit from it.

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is David. I am 19 years old. I am indigent and have no money. I wanted to know if you guys can please send me a book, "Change Your Life Biblically". Thank you. I would really like anything to search, seek and learn more about our great God.
David, CA
Dear JCPM,
I received your letter today and was very excited. So I got together some stamps so I can do your study as soon as possible.
Vanessa, CA
Dear Mr. John,
I do not know how my name got on your mailing list, but thank you. Please send me a copy of your book "Change Your Life Biblically", and use the rest of the enclosed $20 check to further your ministry.
Louise, WA (non-inmate)
Dear JCPM,
This book is awesome. I’ve been very confused on the holding of the Saturday Sabbath. I’ve been struggling with this for 3 years now. I’ve asked God faithfully in prayer to show me guidance when one day I found one of your flyers, something pressed on my heart to fill it out and to send a donation. I’ve read the book and all kinds of light bulbs came on. I know that it was the Spirit of God telling me that He was guiding me to truth. Praise God. The book was very challenging and I’ve really learned a lot. I now observe the 7th day Saturday Sabbath. I also am obeying the 10 Commandments. My life just in a few weeks has really changed. I am full of peace, joy and happiness.
Richard, CA
Dear JCPM,
Thank you for the work you do. I pray that our great Lord blesses your ministry with as much love as you share with us. A friend shared one of your pamphlets with me. I am hoping you can send me the book.
Joe, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I just came to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The reason I am writing you is to ask if you could send any help that can make my walk with the Lord Stronger? I would also like to do any Bible study if you offer it to inmates. I really thirst for God’s Word and any Christian fellowship that is offered. I don’t know any Christian brothers and sisters on the street so any prayer that you can give me would be accepted with a humble heart.
Albert, CA
Ronald,
Thanks for returning my question so quickly. I got the pamphlets. I will try to spread them out. I sent a couple extra bucks just incase someone else is less fortunate. I read about the other goodies you are giving. Being you have been locked up before, you must know how it is to want these things: bookmarks and calendars I can never get enough of. Thank you,
Brandon, LA
Ronald John,
My prayers are with you brother. I believe you are honest in a very humble mission. Your service is deeply needed and appreciated. Truly brother, I worry about you. I sometimes wonder if you are even provided good food to eat. You know if I were free, that’s one thing, besides basic clothing, I ‘d get for you: food.
Frankie, CA
Brother Ronald John,
Congratulations on the expansion of your ministry into Central America. The Lord has truly blessed you. I immediately took notice of the new address on your letterhead. You are truly a servant of the Lord and a blessing to many, including me. As for the SHU, my days are limited here. I go to an integrated yard program for 6 months before being released to General Population. I did a really good study on Christianity that goes along with what you say. People are so set on trying to differentiate themselves as the only true Christians that they forget the real deal. I go back and forth with my mom because I tell her it’s not about being a certain denomination, it’s about doing God’s will. That’s the true message. Anything else is just a distraction. But like you said, once the brainwashing takes effect, it’s hard to share what one has grasped. I believe that God wants us to ask, to investigate, to see it for ourselves in studying His Scriptures rather than to simply take another’s word for what His message is. It’s not the messenger that counts, but the message and Jesus is quite clear about what that message is. One simply needs to read it for one’s self.
Joseph, CA
"Jesus did not seek the admiration or the applause of
men. He commanded no army. He ruled no earthly kingdom. He did not court the
favor of the wealthy and honored of the world. He did not claim a position
among the leaders of the nation. He dwelt among the lowly. He set at nought
the artificial distinctions of society. The aristocracy of birth, wealth,
talent, learning, rank, He ignored.
"He was the Prince of heaven, yet He did not choose His disciples from among the learned lawyers, the rulers, the scribes, or the Pharisees. He passed these by, because they prided themselves on their learning and position. They were fixed in their traditions and superstitions. He who could read all hearts chose humble fishermen who were willing to be taught. He ate with publicans and sinners, and mingled with the common people, not to become low and earthly with them, but in order by precept and example to present to them right principles, and to uplift them from their earthliness and debasement.
"Jesus sought to correct the world’s false standard of judging the value of men. He took His position with the poor, that He might lift from poverty the stigma that the world had attached to it. He has stripped from it forever the reproach of scorn, by blessing the poor, the inheritors of God’s kingdom. He points us to the path He trod, saying, ‘If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’ Verse 23.
"Christian workers are to meet the people where they are, and educate them, not in pride, but in character building. Teach them how Christ worked and denied Himself. Help them to learn from Him the lessons of self-denial and sacrifice. Teach them to beware of self-indulgence in conforming to fashion. Life is too valuable, too full of solemn, sacred responsibilities, to be wasted in pleasing self.
"Men and women have hardly begun to understand the true object of life. They are attracted by glitter and show. They are ambitious for worldly pre-eminence. To this the true aims of life are sacrificed. Life’s best things -- simplicity, honesty, truthfulness, purity, integrity -- cannot be bought or sold. They are as free to the ignorant as to the educated, to the humble laborer as to the honored statesman. For everyone God has provided pleasure that may be enjoyed by rich and poor alike --the pleasure found in cultivating pureness of thought and unselfishness of action, the pleasure that comes from speaking sympathizing words and doing kindly deeds. From those who perform such service the light of Christ shines to brighten lives darkened by many shadows." {MH 197, 8}
If you are between 18-23 and would like to work the rest
of your life in this ministry, please let me know. The ministry needs
someone to train to step into my shoes as director someday. I’m getting old.
Thanks folks for all your love and support.
Love in Christ to all of you,
Ron
