Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and cloth you? when did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me." Matthew 25:37-40
PRAISE THE LORD
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
" When Christ sent forth the disciples with the gospel message, faith in God and His word had well-nigh departed from the world. Among the Jewish people, who professed to have a knowledge of Jehovah, His word had been set aside for tradition and human speculation. Selfish ambition, love of ostentation, greed of gain, absorbed men’s thoughts. As reverence for God departed, so also departed compassion toward men. Selfishness was the ruling principle, and Satan worked his will in the misery and degradation of mankind.
" Satanic agencies took possession of men. The bodies of human beings, made for the dwelling place of God, became the habitation of demons. The senses, the nerves, the organs of men were worked by supernatural agencies in the indulgence of the vilest lust. The very stamp of demons was impressed upon the countenances of men. Human faces reflected the expression of the legions of evil with which men were possessed.
" What is the condition in the world today? Is not faith in the Bible as effectually destroyed by the higher criticism and speculation of today as it was by tradition and rabbinism in the days of Christ? Have not greed and ambition and love of pleasure as strong a hold on men’s hearts now as they had then? In the professedly Christian world, even in the professed churches of Christ, how few are governed by Christian principles. In business, social, domestic, even religious circles, how few make the teachings of Christ the rule of daily living. Is it not true that ‘justice standeth afar off: . . . equity cannot enter. . . . And he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey’? Isaiah 59:14, 15.
" We are living in the midst of an " epidemic of crime, " at which thoughtful, God-fearing men everywhere stand aghast. The corruption that prevails, it is beyond the power of the human pen to describe. Every day brings fresh revelations of political strife, bribery, and fraud. Every day brings its heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal, fiendish destruction of human life. Every day testifies to the increase of insanity, murder, and suicide. Who can doubt that satanic agencies are at work among men with increasing activity to distract and corrupt the mind, and defile and destroy the body?
" And while the world is filled with these evils, the gospel is too often presented in so indifferent a manner as to make but little impression upon the consciences or the lives of men. Everywhere there are hearts crying out for something which they have not. They long for a power that will give them mastery over sin, a power that will deliver them from the bondage of evil, a power that will give health and life and peace. Many who once knew the power of God’s word have dwelt where there is no recognition of God, and they long for the divine presence.
" The world needs today what it needed nineteen hundred years ago--a revelation of Christ. A great work of reform is demanded, and it is only through the grace of Christ that the work of restoration, physical, mental, and spiritual, can be accomplished.
" Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, 'Follow Me.' "{MH 142-3}
Dear Ronald John,
It has been some time since I requested information of your ministry. I am sending you the 10 stamps. I hope it still is 10 stamps. It has been 2 years. I was taking other courses at the time. Please send me the workbook when you can. Thank you for your time.
Victor, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
I received your letter requesting $5 for the "Change Your Life Biblically" book. I am sorry to say that I am totally without funds and have no one to assist me with financial matters. I receive no letters, no money, no quarterly packages, no visits, no canteen and I am doing a multi-life sentence. I am still interested in the book if it is at all possible.
James, CA
Dear Brother Ron,
So good to hear from you again. I really enjoy your letters. They really make me think and evaluate myself. I’m sorry to say that we went on lockdown again. I haven’t been able to get out and continue actively living my faith. Sitting in idleness really works on the mind. It is so hard to stay focused on others when all you have is yourself stuck in a room. It’s just me and Jesus and of course your letters. Staying out of the selfish mind-set is very hard work. How are things going down in El Salvador? I hope OK. I pray Juber is letting the Holy Spirit do good work through him. I hope there are people in that area truly wanting to transform their characters to the divine model. That would be great. I really thank you for the advice about not entering into controversy and debating and just doing the love of Jesus. I must admit I talk to everyone I meet in somewhat different ways. I can always do a better job of making my life a living reality of submitting to Jesus. On paper it sounds so easy, but in a living breathing deceitful heart it is so hard. I pray my heart continues to soften under the yoke of Christ. I have great intentions, I just go about it all wrong. I know Jesus lived a very lonely life. I’m just now beginning to understand and ask for courage so I can endure the same. I need to remember that I am not the stone people are ground against. I need to act more like the Jewel that comes from this process. Jesus is the Rock. Randall was telling me you sent him a new list of Pen-Pals. He said he plans to write them. He is pretty enjoyable to write too.

JCPM,
My name is Lati. I would like to receive your workbook, "Change Your Life Biblically". I am completely indigent. I have no help from anyone inside or outside of prison. I cannot afford to pay 10 stamps because I don’t have any stamps and no one sends me any money or stamps from the outside. Please send your workbook to me as a gift.
Lati, CA
Dear Friends,
I received your name and address from a friend of mine who mentioned to me that you help out inmates with a variety of things. Can I please receive the information from you directly? Can I please be put on your pen-pal list? Also, any books or ministry work and Bible college would sure be a blessing to receive. Please keep in contact and also in your prayer and I will do the same.
Chris, CA
Dear Ronald John,
I am sorry that I didn’t put the information about parole date. I am not being moved from here. I would like to work for Jesus as a missionary for him first and this ministry while I am in prison. I would be honored to do so. I need to start now so I can have the experience. I am being very honest in being a missionary for the ministry.
Charles, CA
Brother Ron,
I would like to thank you for this workbook that you sent me. This work book is the best. It is to me like the Bible. I will keep using it too. I am 25 years old and have life in prison. So I have a long time to do. But I got Jesus and your workbook to help me out. I put all my heart into it. Thank you for opening my eyes to the plan of salvation of Jesus Christ. To tell you the truth, I was a person that use to think and feel that the churches of today are all B.S. and that salvation is not the way it used to be back then when Jesus walked the earth. All my life I believed in God, but I didn’t know how to build a relationship with Him. When I used to go to those big-for-nothing churches and see all those people shouting and dancing around and when they would throw themselves to the ground and when they would writhe around on the ground, it was all funny to see them speak in tongues and say that they was talking to God. I knew that was not talking to God but to the devil. Like you showed me in your workbook, when Jesus took the boy and cast the spirit out He took the boy and lifted him to his feet so he can stand up. I know and I want you to know that I am working on my salvation because I want Jesus and the Spirit of God to come in to me so I can stand up and have complete control of myself and so I can be one of the 144,000 people that will go to heaven. Also, brother Ronald, thank you for giving me the knowledge of the Lord’s day, Saturday, the 7th day Sabbath and the true teachings of Jesus: Stop Sinning, Be Perfect and keep the Ten Commandments.
John, FL
Dear Brother Ronald John,
Greetings and God’s blessings upon you and your awesome ministry. I received your always welcome missive of hope and encouragement and spiritual upbuilding. Thank you for the time you take out of your seemingly busy schedule to write and encourage me. You are truly a blessing of the Most High and Almighty God. Well, first of all, I’ve got great news to tell you. The OCS agent finally finished my report and signed me off on it. I have an addictive nature about me, or at least I did. So I make an effort to keep things in perspective. I see evidence of sports addiction every day here among the fellows. But thank you for the word of caution. It is noted and much appreciated. I kind of helped my cellie yesterday and he actually took heed to what I had to say. I talked some sense into him and he actually listened to me. I will follow your advice on relating to him about how God is not a cop-out. I have to get past that bravado front he puts up. God’s blessing to you always and keep your ministry strong and thriving.

Hello,
My name is David. I am stuck in the county jail for a while. I found your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I was just getting into it real deep, but then they sent me here to prison. I’m doing a life sentence. I was really involved in your book. It’s great. I couldn’t bring it in with me. I am really trying to be a good Christian. Could you please send me one of those books?
David, CA
Dear Brother Ronald,
I got your letter and was real glad to hear from you. As I told you in my last letter, my cellie here has your book and I really love it. We share it all the time. The only thing is, is that he’ll probably be going to the gym before long and I’d really like to be able to keep up with it. I am going to try to make enough from my art work to be able to send you some stamps every now and then. So if you could send me a copy of your book, that would be great.
Bill, CA
Brother Ronald,
I have been at this prison for 2 years now. I would like to work as a missionary for the Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, but I would need your guidance. I’m also happy to inform you that I told friends of mine what I was trying to do and if they would help me to accumulate the stamps to pay you back. I was helped so I’m sending stamps. When I can get more to help you out, I will write you and send them.
James, LA
Wow,
This has been a wonderful, wonderful eye opening lesson for me. I have learned so much that I didn’t know about the Bible. Thank you so much for sending this course. It has taught me so much about how I can have eternal life and how important it is to obey the Ten Commandments and keeping the Sabbath, 7th day Saturday, holy. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to the truth. God bless you.
Jesse, CA
To Whom It May Concern,
I greatly appreciate this opportunity to further my knowledge of God’s Word. I ask you please can you send me some applications so I can get a few more people signed up as well.
David, OK
To Whom It May Concern,
I would appreciate it if I may be able to receive one of your books, "Change Your Life Biblically" if possible. I am not an inmate of any institution but I am interested in your book.
Anna, CA (non-inmate)
Dear Brother Ron,
I’ve been passing out your fliers. I hope they have been received. I need more please. You know, ever since I have been keeping the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday) my life has really changed. The keeping of the 10 Commandments as well has really made a difference in my walk with Christ. So much more power in the name of Jesus. I’ve learned so much from your study and book. I will continue to read and re-read your book. It will be with me even when I parole. Ever since I’ve been keeping the 10 Commandments and the Sabbath I’ve been so much more blessed. You were so right in your book. Brother Ron, thank you for opening my eyes to the true gospel.
Richard, CA
Dear Brother Ronald John,
I thank you for your letters and for being straight up about my problem. In the deep down inside I was not submitting myself to God as I should and so, you know, I came to recognize that myself as well and got back up like I should. Thanks brother for your time. I always felt it was not right, sound to good, to sin and keep sinning. I could not see how "good" was to come out of somebody if they did good to others but yet walked around with sin, actually sinning, only to go home and the end of the day and ask for forgiveness. Sounded too easy. Well, with your book, it opened my mind to knowledge I did not have before. When I read the New Testament it makes more sense to me. With the knowledge you gave me anyone can clearly see we are to still obey the 10 Commandments. Your book has been helpful cause it opened my mind that I can actually understand what I’m reading.
Willie, TX
Hello Ron,
Sorry I haven’t written in a while. No excuse. I was never able to get my study group going cause of budget cuts and shortage of staff we have been locked down a lot, especially on weekends: no chapel. Now I have arranged a school classroom on Sunday nights for one hour so we will see how that goes. Tomorrow will be first night. I have about 12 in my group. I will be primarily going off chapters of your book. I still have your DVD so I will use that as well.
Daniel, CA
Well Howdy There,
Just sitting here in my prison cell writing and doing time. I have a 137 years to life prison sentence. A Christian brother asked me if I wanted to check out your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I browsed through it and found it very good. So I copied the address out of it. So here I am writing to you. I would like to receive that book.
Billy, CA
Hi,
I am very interested in your workbook and I believe that I can learn a lot.
Elijah, VA
Hi,
I came across your address and I would love to request a "Change Your Life Biblically" book.
Rafael, CA
Ron,
I was just moved to a different cell about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I got along real good with my old cellie (maybe God saw I was getting to comfortable). Anyhow, He has His purposes. I have been growing stronger and becoming bolder in speaking out on God’s true Word. I like to tell people what it says in Psalm 111:10, "A good understanding have all they that do His commandments." The Sabbath is one of His commands. If people don’t observe it, they won’t have a good (proper) understanding. One thing that I found that’s key for people to know is how the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 that we have to "prove all things". I don’t hesitate to inform them that most of the popular Christian beliefs and teachings have been passed down through generations without having ever been proven. In the past I’ve gone to try to prove what they say and most of the time I couldn’t. Actually, I found things contrary to what they were teaching. I hope your ministry is going good. We have to encourage each other to stay strong and follow Him always. That is what I’m doing. We can all use a little encouragement at times. Even though I know you are very strong, we can still use some encouragement at times.
Peter, IL
HI,
I would like to ask you if you can put me on your mailing list for your newsletter. I hope you can help me to find Christ. I thank you for your time.
Jesus, NV
To Whom It May Concern,
I came across your information from a resource list a friend of mine had. But I’m not exactly sure what your organization has to offer incarcerated individuals.
Gabriel, CA
Hello,
I’m writing you regarding your workbook "Change Your Life Biblically". I’ve enclosed the 10 stamps to cover the shipping cost. I look forward to finally be able to use your book to understand and study the Bible better.
Edward, CA
Dear Brother Ronald,
Wow, your letter hit me pretty hard. At first there was a part of me that wanted to shout back, "you got me all wrong!". But deep down I know some of the things you had told me were true. I knew long ago that I was prideful and arrogant but I did nothing to fix it. Now and then I would try to humble myself and even then, there was no real surrender from me. I was content with myself at where I was at. What a poor soul I have become. Thank you for pointing out my sins and giving it to me "raw". I needed it. When you called me the defeatist type ... oh ... how I hated those words. I hate to admit it because I despised those that were defeatist themselves. But I had become one of those I have despised. What a hypocrite that I am. I apologize for my negative attitude. You know, when I was reading the newsletter I had forgotten how many people write you and thank you for the book. Then I remembered how I felt when I read your book and how it helped me in my infancy., For some reason out of fear of losing some of the brothers I had compromised in sharing all the truth (including your book, CYLB) but I had seen people reject your book and so I wanted to give your address to only those who I felt worthy and therefore robbed others of the truth they could have learned. I’m so sorry. I have been so weak. Please forgive me. Do pray for me as well. I had lost sight of my mission and for my comfort I compromised. I need strength because I am weak. Once again, thank you for your rebuke. I really needed it. It’s not everyday that I get to hear the truth in my face. I love you and your ministry.
Timmy, CA
To Who This May Concern,
Hi. I am a mom of an inmate. God bless you my brother. Please help my son Alan by sending him a book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I am also sending a check and some stamps. Thank you.
Amelia, CA (non-inmate)
To Whom It May Concern,
I’m 38 years old and I have a sentence of 10 years. I would love to get the "Change Your Life Biblically" book. Can I ask you a question? Do you have it in Spanish? If you do, can I please get it in Spanish?
Maria, TX
(So many requests for Spanish. First we have to pay off our debt and then save up enough for printing Spanish. Your continued support will help inmates like Maria receive the book in Spanish.)
To Whom It May Concern,
As you can see, I’m in prison and I would like to receive your free workbook and Bible. I just now received Christ into my life and I want to make a better life of myself. If you have any Bible study courses, please send them to me.
Gerald, CA
"One of the surest hindrances to the recovery of the sick is the centering
of attention upon themselves. Many invalids feel that everyone should give
them sympathy and help, when what they need is to have their attention
turned away from themselves, to think of and care for others.
"Often prayer is solicited for the afflicted, the sorrowful, the discouraged; and this is right. We should pray that God will shed light into the darkened mind and comfort the sorrowful heart. But God answers prayer for those who place themselves in the channel of His blessings. While we offer prayer for these sorrowful ones, we should encourage them to try to help those more needy than themselves. The darkness will be dispelled from their own hearts as they try to help others. As we seek to comfort others with the comfort wherewith we are comforted, the blessing comes back to us.
"The fifty-eight chapter of Isaiah is a prescription for maladies of the body and of the soul. If we desire health and the true joy of life we must put into practice the rules given in this scripture. Of the service acceptable to Him, and its blessings, the Lord says:
"Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry,
And that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him;
And that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning,
And thine health shall spring forth speedily:
And thy righteousness shall go before thee;
The glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward.
Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer;
Thou shalt cry, and He shall say, Here I am.
If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke,
The putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry,
And satisfy the afflicted soul;
Then shall thy light rise in obscurity,
And thy darkness be as the noonday:
And the Lord shall guide thee continually,
And satisfy thy soul in drought,
And make fat thy bones:
And thou shalt be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water,
Whose waters fail not."
Isaiah 58:7-11.
"Good deeds are twice a blessing, benefiting both the giver and the receiver of the kindness. The consciousness of right-doing is one of the best medicines for diseased bodies and minds. When the mind is free and happy from a sense of duty well done and the satisfaction of giving happiness to others, the cheering, uplifting influence brings new life to the whole being.
"Let the invalid, instead of constantly requiring sympathy, seek to impart it. Let the burden of your own weakness and sorrow and pain be cast upon the compassionate Saviour. Open your heart to His love, and let it flow out to others. Remember that all have trials hard to bear, temptations hard to resist, and you may do something to lighten these burdens. Express gratitude for the blessings you have; show appreciation of the attentions you receive. Keep the heart full of the precious promises of God, that you may bring forth from this treasure, words that will be a comfort and strength to others. This will surround you with an atmosphere that will be helpful and uplifting. Let it be your aim to bless those around you, and you will find ways of being helpful, both to the members of your own family and to others.
"If those who are suffering from ill-health would forget self in their interest for others; if they would fulfill the Lord’s command to minister to those more needy than themselves, they would realize the truthfulness of the prophetic promise, "‘Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily.’" MH 256-258
I want to thank each and every one of you who has been so faithful in
supporting this little ministry. We are hanging on by our fingernails. We
had to shut down our El Salvador mission. No funds.
We pray that hearts will be opened to the Spirit of God and will understand that our salvation is not in a church. Our salvation is not in the entertainment of our church or denomination. Our salvation is in obedience to Jesus and His teachings. I pray that those who have not received the DVD’s the Holy Spirit has dictated and directed will request them. The book, "Change Your Life Biblically" and the DVD’s we are putting out are the modern day Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah and John the Baptist and EGW. God is not dead. He is still working through those willing to be His servants to the world. Are you listening? I am sending another DVD with this newsletter. I pray your heart will be open to the Holy Spirit. If you need copies to send to friends, please ask.
Love in Christ,
Ron
The Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalm 84:11
