Prison Mission Report!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: I Remember the day I received my "Change Your Life Biblically" book. Was I ever excited. To this day I am still very excited. I am finally finished with this exam. It wasn’t easy with all the noise and distractions Satan provides us in prison. But I will read over and over the information for years to come. My cellie wants my book, but I won’t separate with it. Ron, I find myself going over and over this text and continue to find more answers that seem to me the more correct answers. Perhaps they are and or were, but I do find myself happier since I have finished the 18 pages of this quiz. I am different: kinder, more sure of myself and find a smile more often than before. I started with the book you and your awesome ministry sent me. I thank you and your ministry for enlightening me and my soul through the different passages of knowledge that the Bible has to offer the people that don’t know what they are missing. Rick, CA
Dear Sir, I am very grateful to write to you this letter. I am a boy in J.C.C. three (3) and at the age of seventeen years old. And I am a Christian. The main reason why I am writing to you this letter is that I had a book of yours and talks more to me and that book was collected from my friend and the advice got from the book was shared with my friends which made them repented from all their sins. So please bring me some of your book which will help me to become a good Christian. Eric, Kumas, Ghana, Africa How we would love to send cases of books to each request in all the countries we are receiving requests from. But this little ministry is now $9,000 in debt. We need your help. Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am writing in regards to a book I found of great interest to me in which you sent to another inmate here last week. The name of the book is "Change Your Life Biblically". I’ve been in prison since January 2004. I have devoted my time in search of changing my life. I am determined to keep a close walk with Jesus Christ while I am in prison and most definitely after I am released. Audrey, KS
Dear JCPM, Thank you very much for sending me the latest edition of your newsletter, the May issue. As always I enjoyed reading the letters and comments from all of the friends in Jesus from all over the world. It is a wonderful thing to see how many people are striving for the saving Word of His Majesty. And to think that a small group of men have gathered in one minute area of this great land and been able to impact in a very positive way the entire world with the message of salvation is truly a miracle. Mike, GA Folks, last summer my mother gave me a potted fern to place on the tongue of our trailer and make it look better. During the summer and Autumn months, it thrived and grew and became a beautiful green fern. But when winter set in, it died. I look at it and thought that it was totally lost. It was brown, dry and crackly. With temperatures below freezing, I was sure it was dead. But in May, I rounded the corner of the trailer and there before me was a beautiful green fern. It was growing up from the same pot, but also, up through the old dead branches of the old fern. When I saw it, I almost cried. How to often we as humans can seem to be doing well, but when the storms of sin and winter freezing hit our lives, we too can seem to die in sin. We too can be left abandoned by the world as dead, dry, brown and left out in the cold as good-for-nothing. But through it all, God’s wonderful grace is at work. He can bring life to dead plants, human bones, and human spirits. Lives that we think are terminal, dead ends, failures, useless and unfit for our company, companionship or attention, He is moving upon and rebuilding by His Spirit. I have seen that taking place in my life. Sanctification is the work of a lifetime. Some of us just have a longer lifetime than others. But through it all, Jesus is working with us, sin and all, as we continue to draw closer to Him and learn how to be more and more obedient to Him. That Power is the power of forgiveness. More and more I understand the grace of God and His power of Love. When Moses asked Jesus to show him His power, Jesus didn’t show Him "creation power", or destroying His enemies or anything as great as those. What He showed Moses was, "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin..." Exodus, 34:6, 7 How often I hear people talking about wanting the power of God: healing, money, speaking in tongues, being a great preacher or doing "something great" for the church, etc. But the true power of God is love and forgiveness. That is the power of God. Oh that we would practice the power of God more often in our own lives. To forgive those whom we think have hurt us or others. That is power. But how often we turn in hate, rage, pride and self-righteous indignation at the sinner. Too often we exclude him from our families, homes and persons. That is the power of Lucifer. How can we get to heaven if we cannot be like Jesus: forgiving, loving and compassionate. How can you turn your back on a sinner if you truly love the sinner as God does? Let God deal with the sin. Let us just love the sinners as God does. He gave His life for us sinners. Will we do the same for those around us? Dear Friends, Hi, my name is Joseph. My wife sent me the letter you wrote her back in July asking for "Change Your Life Biblically". At the bottom it has a spot that says you offer other books and materials. She asked me to pay for her because she is indigent in a county jail at this time. If it means that much to her, I told her, "No problem". So I have requisitioned a check for both of us. Please make sure she gets hers as soon as possible. Satan is at work attacking both of us and the only thing that can defeat him is Jesus and His love. So the Word of God in any form is a blessing. Please send us both whatever you can. Joseph, OR
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am writing you in regards to your free study book and any other literature pertaining to God’s Word. My heart goes out to what you do for countless individuals around the world. God bless you and yours. Max, IN
Dear Brother Ronald, I am writing in reply to your letter you sent. I am a skinhead dropout. For the 1st time in my life I feel true peace and happiness in my heart. I know it is only because God is now leading my life. I still go through it at times, but the Lord continues to lift me up. Brother, I am totally indigent. I feel your book would truly benefit me spiritually and to help me grow. At this time I am unable to send anything. If you would please send me your book, I will not forget when I parole. Larry, CA
To Whom it May Concern, I am writing you this letter because I was talking to a fellow inmate who gave me your address. We were discussing the Bible and pen pals. I told him I wished I knew someone on the outside to correspond with. He told me to write to you that you had a web site on the internet for pen pals for inmates. He also told me to send you 10 stamps but I cannot because I am indigent. I would deeply appreciate any and all help you may give me in my quest for a pen pal or someone to correspond with. Looking forward to hearing from you very soon. Darcy, AZ
To Whom It may Concern, I was given your address by one of my fellow inmates. He told me that you could probably point me in the right direction to get myself posted on your internet pen pal web site as well as sending me some Bible study materials. I was also told you ask for a donation of 10 stamps. I am currently indigent. But if need be I could probably borrow the stamps, although I don’t like borrowing anything. Keith, AZ
Dear Brother Ronald John, I’m in prison for the first time in my life. I’ve been finding out about Jesus Christ and there is a brother here who told me to write to you and ask if you could please send me a "Change Your Life Biblically" book. Charles, CA
Dear Brother Ronald, I’ve been looking for a good Bible study that teaches me about Jesus Christ correctly from the Bible. My neighbor and fellow brother referred me to your ministry. I am writing in high hopes of also receiving a "Change Your Life Biblically". Jesse, CA
Mr. John, Thank you very much for trusting me and sending me the "Change Your Life Biblically" Bible study. Here are 5 of the 10 stamps I owe you. Again, Thank you. Rick, CA
Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am writing you with the highest of hopes of being allowed to join your program. Right now at this moment I am dead broke and that is why I am sending you your form back the indigent way. I am a poor man in need of Jesus Christ to show me the way of living a victorious life. A friend of mine handed me your pamphlet and told me your program really gives you peace of mind that I am searching for. Thank you so very much for taking a few minutes out of your busy day to read my letter. Cruz, AZ
Dear JCPM, This is the hardest Bible study I have ever done. Day in and day out I have studied until my eyes got blurry. The truth of the matter is, without this book I would have still been blind and in the dark. I feel that I’m back on track and I can make right what wrongs I’ve done through my Savior Jesus Christ. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I pray that this book will never get lost. Scott, FL
Dear Brother Ron, I have seen one of your books and I would like to find out how to receive your books. I am housed in a faith based dorm and your book really got me interested in the program I am in. I am not indigent so I can send stamps for postage and payment of your book. I hope to hear from you and thank you for your time. Kenneth, TX
Dear Brother Ron, I received the newsletters and I enjoy reading how God is working through you to help change lives. You truly are an inspiration and I truly appreciate what you do to help your fellow men in the name of God. I can really say, May God continue to bless you in all that you do. David, CA
Dear Mr. John, I am writing you to respectfully request you consider me indigent and bless me with a workbook. I need all of the help I can get. I will be released soon and I do not want to go back into the life of a drug addict and criminal. I will turn 50 years old 3 days after my release and I feel enough is enough. I do not have any living relatives. Marquitta, IL
Director Ronald John, I am an indigent inmate and was offered a look at your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I was really interested. I was told to send you about 10 stamps to receive your book. Well, I can barley write my family as it is, but I can still donate 3 stamps and be able to write my family once a week till my release. If you could help me by sending me your book mentioned above, I would be most gratefully. Kevin, CA
Dear Sir, I would like to request a copy of your book called, "Change Your Life Biblically". I saw a copy of my friend’s. So I hope you can send me a copy of one too. I thank you for all of your help. Stephen, CA
Mr. Ronald John, I am writing to you with response to your letter. I have since moved from my last place of incarceration to a permanent location. So, as per your letter’s instructions, I waited to send in my request. I was blessed with a brief glance at your book that a fellow inmate had received and shared with me. I’m really anxious and thankful to obtain one of your workbooks, if it is possible. I am totally indigent without help or support at the present time. So I am praying that you will consider me to receive the workbook and your monthly newsletter. What I can do in return is pass out your literature and mail in requests and share the monthly newsletter on the tier. I’m presently housed in a level 4 lock down so I’m in the cell unassigned 24/7. So, Like I said, I can shoot the literature and requests forms up and down the tiers to all the Christian brothers and people interested in searching for the truth. Mike, CA
Dear Brother Ronald, As always, it has been a blessing to hear from you. It is so true, there are moments of time when even a believer can feel separated from the grace of our Lord. And as you stated, it is a necessary process we go through in order for us to grow. Even here, inside this closed system of things in the middle of the rumble tumble spiritual world when I begin to lose sight of the truth I have come to embrace with all my heart; when I feel so all alone, someone or something will fine tune my eternal focus that I may once again the refiners fire. And acknowledge through prayer and supplication the growth our Lord and Savior has allowed me to obtain. It is truly akin to the darkness before the dawn. I too have been withheld in a struggle, not knowing which way to turn, until I read that you to needed to return your focus towards prayer. You see I also have a son. But I have never been the father he should have had. I failed him. The best thing I have ever done for him was take him to his grandfathers house. But I never did those things with him a loving father would. I am grateful that grandpa did find the time for him that he never did for me. Now I said all of this in order to say I understand about your struggle. I need to thank you for the direction you have given me. Return to prayer. Allow Him to work where I seem to fail. Again, I thank you. Everything happens for a reason and always in God’s time. I thank God for your workbook. It opened my eyes to the lies I had held as truths; even though I never could find those same beliefs in the Bible. Amazing how brainwashed a young mind can be. And carry them for a life time. I know too in order to break those same chains of bondage we need not only the power but also accept with an open heart the encouragement of the Holy Ghost. Timothy, CA
Dear Ronald John, I’m writing this letter in regards to me and my cell mates financial status. We have no money on our books and we would somehow like to obtain your "Change Your Life Biblically" workbook. We are new Christians and we study the Bible together on a regular basis. We truly appreciate your regards in this manner and may God bless your ministry for the hope you give us. Roger, UT
Dear Brother Ron, I want to apologize for not being able to send you money yet. I feel really bad about it. The prison system I am in doesn’t pay for working us. I’m lucky if I can afford my hygienic supplies. So, again, I am sorry. I am thoroughly dedicated to this ministry. When I can send money, I will. I want to remain a part of this ministry forever. I just received the newsletter. I wanted to comment on a couple of entries. I was appalled to read the letter from Josh. How can I sit here and read that someone tried to throw out "this garbage", "Change Your Life Biblically"? This really sickened me. I’m just glad that Josh got the books and is OK after hitting his head on the wall. Watch out for that wall Josh :-). I would do the same thing to save CYLB. These books are truth; not to be disregarded. One of the inmates that was at collins with me is currently in the "box" after doing wrong again. I find that if you follow Jesus Christ, even in the prison system, you are less likely to get into trouble. He wouldn’t follow God and look where that got him. I will continue to pray for you guys at Collins or wherever you may be now. I really look forward to getting the newsletter each month. Fellow Christians, please read your books and answer the questions. There is a wealth of information to be grabbed out of CYLB. If you choose to not do the course, please, please, give it to someone else who does. Don’t let these extraordinary books get lost, damaged or thrown out! I also would like to congratulate John in PA for his acceptance of Christ. This is great. Keep up the good work and stay in your Bible. You will be truly blessed. I’ve enclosed the forms of 3 indigent inmates that are eager to join JCPM and do the course. Love in Christ, Christopher, NY
To: Jesus Christ Prison Ministry, I am writing to your ministry to respond to my letter here in the asking of your ministry to send me one of the free offered books your ministry have published called, "Change Your Life Biblically". I find this book to be a book I cannot stop reading. So now I would like to have one personally for myself. The one I have been reading belongs to the library here in prison. I’ve checked it out more times than enough and I just can’t get enough of its much enlightening contents. So please rush me one of these books of yours so I can begin me a Bible study group. It opens a whole new way of discussing Bible truths. I also have an inmate friend who is also interested in one as well. He has asked me to mention to you all to send him one too. Both of us is here. Me and him have discussed many issues in this book together one with another. We love it and would love to own one personally for ourselves. Willie, GA
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am not in a prison, but I have two brothers who are being imprisoned at this time. I for some reason, maybe through one of my brothers, received your prison ministry booklets and have been blessed by some of the inmates letters I’ve read. I’ve not been able lately to send a love offering to help this wonderful cause, but soon as I can, I will send what I can to help out. Please go in God’s will and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will accept it. Thank you for the God sent blessings I’ve received from your booklets (Newsletters). Bill, TN
Dear Brother in Christ, I have recently accepted Christ into my life. It’s been 4 months now and it would be a blessing to obtain your workbook. I am inclosing 13 stamps, sorry, I don’t have first class stamps, I hope it’s OK. Also, I really appreciate what you do for the brothers with your ministry in regards to your web page. The thought is really appreciated. Steven, CA
To whom It may Concern, I received your first introduction type letter today. First off, thank you for a quick response. Well, I’m trying to learn about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is very hard. I’ve taken the first few steps, but want to learn all I can and understand. I only get so much from the prison chapel and have difficulty understanding what some of the Bible says. I look forward to studying and learning and having a better life with myself, the world around me and our Lord. Steven, CA
Sir, I recently came across your ministries name and address and heard you had a very good newsletter. I am hoping that you will add my name and address to your list so that I may read your good works too. Thank you for your time, Benjamin, TX
To Ronald John, God bless you all. My cellie received your letter today. I want to also say I’m a skinhead drop out. I’m P/C, Protection Custody, cause I’ve changed my life. We have a lot of Christians here. We are always having Bible studies. I would really like to receive the book, "Change Your Life Biblically". I’m not going to lie, I’ve got no money. All I get is 20 indigent envelopes a month and this blank paper. I would also like to be put on your mailing list to receive the newsletter. Thank you and God bless you all. Larry, CA
Dear Mr. John, I have enclosed my daughter’s form. She filled it out and mailed it to me. I am enclosing the $5.00 fee you need to send her your Bible study workbook. I don’t have a lot of money but wanted to send $20 extra to help you in your ministry. If my daughter did not have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, she would be in deep despair. I have never been imprisoned so I cannot understand what she is dealing with. I thank God for your ministry. Thank you, Jesus. A Catholic mom from the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Gisele
Dear Brother Ron, I just wanted to thank you for the things I’ve learned from "Change Your Life Biblically". I’ve been a Christian and obeying God’s commandments (other than what sent me to prison) including the Sabbath for 13 years. Your book helped me to better understand some of the (usually) more difficult topics in the Bible, as well as the historical fulfillments of prophecy. I am going to be released and would like to keep in touch. God has really been blessing concerning my release. I don’t have a "valid" release plan and people in my situation are generally kept 30 extra days. I’m being kept only 1 extra day and that because they couldn’t arrange transportation. A number of organizations, churches, and ministries will be helping me with food, transportation, clothes and employment. One group is even paying my first 2 months rent. I just continually thank God for all He is doing. Michael, VA Folks, this ministry would like to do more to help inmates like Michael who are paroling without anything. But to do that we first need a place. To build a large home to accommodate such a purpose would cost close to $100,000 on this property. Would anyone out there like to contribute to that endeavor? Also, the cost to keep a program like that running would run close to $8,000 each month. We feel very fortunate if we receive half that in donations each month at this time. Thanks folks. Just an idea.
Dear Sirs, I’m requesting your book, "Change Your Life Biblically". There are four of us here who are interested in your book. We hold Bible studies here. So I’m asking if you could please send me material to hold good Bible studies here. I appreciate what your doing for us in prison, being you’ve been to prison yourself. It’s good to know you haven’t forgotten where you came from as some do. I would like to keep in touch with you. To give you my growth progress. Here are three other gentleman interested in your book. Mario, CA
Ronald John, I wanted to let you know I received word back from you and I have been waiting on some outside help so I could send you some stamps. Where I am at we are not allowed to work so we got to depend on outside sources. I am still waiting to get some funds. When I do I will gladly send you stamps to cover your end of the funding of your book. If you could would you go ahead and send it and as soon as I get the funds I will cover the material. I really would like to get started on your "Change Your Life Biblically". Tommy, AZ
Dear Jesus Christ Ministry, I just received your letter where you say to answer you honestly. I really don’t have any money or stamps. I really want to change my life and this book I know it’s easy for me to understand so can you please send me one because other Bible courses that I’m taking seem to hard. Please, I don’t have any stamps or money. Rene, CA Thank you folks for another great month. I truly appreciate the loving kindness you each have shown in your giving to this ministry. Little by little the ministry is moving forward. At times I wonder if we are making any progress. But God is the Pilot of this little vessel and He has it all under control. As we need funding, He searches out the land for hearts that are dedicated to His work and touches them to share His wealth with this ministry. It is amazing. We are still about $9,000 in debt. We pray that hearts will be touched. Love in Christ, Ron
